yeah, just re-done mine, gave them a light sand down with wet and dry, then gave it about 4 of pearl. they came out alot darker like andy's but when i put them on the car they still look different??!!! lol

middo did you put a lacquer on after you painted them??

I used AG Super Resin Polish :)

oh mate its got everything!! even a drying room for you wet cloths! put them in there for about 10-15mins and they were bone dry!!

totally gutted for you mate! thing is its going to get spotted really easy where ever it ends up because of the colour! I mean my mate spotted the one we so from miles away!!! just stood out.

there not really bad, just when i've polished the car you can just see very light scratch's when the sun is shining on it

when you come to polish your car what do most people use to put the polish on? and also take it off? while i'm asking questions 1 more..........I have some scratchs on my bonnet (like swirls) what would take these out?? Megs Scratch X

The base was fairly thick but the pearl had very watered down look to it. yeah think i'll give it a light sand with some wet and dry and re-coat with a few more layers of pearl. if not i'll have to just buy some new badges! lol

Went to the NEC on sat so fri ngt thought i'd give it a wash, clay, wax and clean out. Did it round at my mates work big indoor garage with heaters :D and a diesel powered heated pressure washer......lush! He's not using his jumper to polish the car lol!!! And then it got compleatly...

They look s**t hot!!!!! yeah thats what a few folk say about it when i show them the 2 pics, could be the lighting or camera etc... best seeing them in the real see if they are different. What was your method of painting them? drying times and how many coats of the base yellow and then pearl...

^^^ yeah I got a base colour which is just yellow, and then i got another can which is the pearl, I gave them 2-3 coats of base yellow then 2 coats of pearl. might get them re-done fancy doing them?? :) how did you paint the silver on after?? silver pen

On the M6, I was on my way down to the NEC. would have been around 8am? then on way back home past a silver 172 heading other direction around 4-5pm??

It looks a purple colour when it goes past my house haha, my mate more clued up on the cars more than me i'll ask him ;) yeah he said his car was very very thirsty!! but as you said fantastic cars. He's got a gti-6 now.

Oh gutted!!!!!!!!!!! my mate had to sell his cos his cam belt snapped :( knackered a few parts up. There's another near where i live its a like a dark purple, thats had loads of money thrown at it. Did you used to go to meets in it??

For some reason my liquid yellow badges look a different to yours?? maybe its the different blue??

So a full custom re-map done on the rollers is the best to go for, I live in cumbria anyone know of anyone near who does it??

My mate got a re-map done on his 106 gti by a company in blackpool and it cost £420! why such a big price difference??:S
