V6 (and I did), I could never buy a 182 knowing that the V6s look better and go better ;)
Youll also lose more on a brand new 182 than you will on a 15k V6 (although this will probably be irrelevant once youve spent the difference on petrol and insurance!)

Quite pricey, but then this is supposed to be the nuts. I think fitting is another £300...
I remember seeing with a group-buy of 5 or more you could fit the "Adjustable Traction Control (6 Cyl) +...
Yeah it has 5 months left on the warranty, which I felt was invaluable after reading the horror stories of gearbox failures, etc. Then again you can always end up with a bad view of cars when reading forums due to the nature of people only posting when something goes wrong...
Since you...
The chap I bought my car from had a silver mk2 sitting next to it (which I had a bit of a drive in, v.nice) and they both look amazing. The mk1 is obviously the original and is going to be remembered for that, but the mk2 looks trim and neat, and the xenon lights finish off any car imo. So I...
I know it looks like many other mk1s, but this ones got a crucial difference.....
...its mine! :D
Hope to join some meets in the future and meet some of you, and thanks to all those who gave me useful advice before I parted with my reddies :)
This car is the nuts, the sound, the looks, the...
Tell me about it, thought I was going to get trapped on the ring road there forever. And it was raining and I was new to the V6, not a good combination.
As for FRPs, there are about 350 remaining according to the guys in the know, over on the pumapeople forum. Ive owned two in the...
Im called mike too, so can I boast that I got 31.5mpg average on my journey back from Wolverhampton yesterday? :D
....it has dropped somewhat after giving a few rides to some colleagues...
Are there any downsides to having an LSD on a RWD car? Im guessing that it would make handling trickier (more than normal...is that possible?) on the limit, because both tyres would be spinning and not leaving one with grip??*
*feel free to correct my ramblings :p
Picked up MK02*** this afternoon and Ive driven 100 miles home, and its brilliant. Very happy :D Ill post some initial impressions tomorrow when Ive stopped staring at the car.
Thats dirt cheap servicing....sweet!
The flakeyness is difficult to describe; basically where the rear arch meets the original body work (the seam just above the fuel filler cap) is a little bit jagged and not smooth. It almost looks like it was once painted smooth from the arch to the...
Hi Stu, thanks again for the pointers. It generally went well, it was number 069, so I guess its quite an early one, guessing that cant be a good thing, although most of it looked in good order (if a bit dirty) and I bargined accordingly. Its still got 6 months warranty, engine sounded smooth...
Cheers for that Stu. Im having to go about 70 miles tomorrow, but trying to bare in mind that in may not be the right car...and to walk away!
Hope it is though ;) I shall report back.
Cheers,
Mike
Im off to view one tomorrow. One quick question, as with my last car, a Ford Racing Puma, because it was a part handbuilt car, some of the panels had some uneven spaces, even though it hadnt been damaged. Can I expect to see the same on the V6, or will this be a sign of crash damage?
Hi all,
Im seriously thinking of buying a Mk1 V6, but I know next to nothing about what to look out for when I go and have a look at them. Is there a buyers guide on the site? Or can anyone offer some tips on what to look out for (over and above the normal secondhand things).
Theres one on...
