I wouldnt bother buying a multimeter if your just using it for that, just buy a simple test light. But make sure it does 12volt!!

They dont need to be able to go up and down, but if they are stuck on a setting thats too high/low and they wont adjust, they will fail...
I think most garages are pretty laid back unless like i say they are way out of adjustment...!
if your jacking up check your wheel bearings...just spin them up and listen and also check for play!
for head light alignment just park up infront a wall and check they are level and not stupidly low or high.
I'd also take it for a little run before you take it there to get it warm, sometimes...

They call Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection a sealant i believe, and if so yeah thats what ive been using!! its so easy to use too, but it had to be left for 2 hours before removing! But when it rains mine car all beaded looks teh best in teh carpark :)

I have seen some guys have done a good job at polishing the manifold on their cars, and i want to have a go, i'm guessing after a good rub down you need a good metal polish...this any good?
