Would probably call the following day to be honest anyway, it's all going to be a bit hectic. Cheers for the info mate :)
£62.50 to get BT to connect the line! and that's half price because I've agreed to an 18 month minimum line rental contract. Normally it's £124.99!
To save me sitting in a queue does anyone know the answer to this?
The BT line at our new place should be connected on Monday 10th March, how long do we need to wait before we could have broadband on the line? I'm just going to move my existing pipex account across.
Edit: Seems Sky LLU is...
I believe you need a BT phone line?
New customers should only have to pay what it states and that will cover labour, box, dish wiring etc. and you tell them which room you want it in.
You do get all the terrestrial channels, yes.
Bear in mind that they credit check you first.
Still using FF now with a Safari skin and Safari style progress bar. Looks nicer and displays bookmark folders a lot nicer.
Before anyone says why not use Safari then? A few sites are not Safari compatible e.g. photobucket uploading is hit and miss with bulk uploader not working at all.
I don't want to be too precise on an open forum but near there yeah :) Will definitely give you a call mate if the OH's dad can't help.
Do you do ClioSport member discounts? ;)
Well we're renting so as long as we're accepted which we should be as we met the landlord today and he's happy then the house is in Heath Hayes, just round the corner from one of the schools, forget the name though.
Note: For anyone who read/replied to my venting thread, the landlord gave us...
It would be one box and one dish. If the Mrs's dad can do it then he'd do it for free though so we need to check first. Thanks for the offer though. Is it just something you know how to do or are you an ex Sky engineer or something?
We rent and the dish here was up from when the landlord had sky and as she's moving back in she'll be wanting it again.
Can you buy the dish on it's own? The Mrs's dad is a tv engineer and electrician so he could fit one, might even be able to get us a dish come to think of it.
Unfortunately...
We've had Sky tv for 2 years now and will be moving house soon. If we get the place we're currently looking at then there is no dish up. Do Sky charge you for setting up a new dish?
Their website doesn't say and I don't fancy being stuck in a telephone queue to find out unless I have to.
