So the girlfriend is using the car for work, and it seems the car park has a lot of birds flying over. It's a problem for everyone there. Any hints/tips on getting them off? Been going out each night with the mitt and bucket, but if there is a spray or something, I am keen to try anything ; (
Can anyone recommend some good companies in the Maidstone/ Ashford/ Canterbury area for alloy refurbishing? 2 are curbed to hell and back, other 2 have the odd scrape here and there. Ideas of cost would be good as well.
Cheers all.
The breakdown chap the other wk mentioned my exhaust was on its way out which I was aware of, however he also said it wouldn't help the MPG. Anyone heard that before? ? Its blowing a bit and is the original on an 05 182.
Only had my 182 for a wk so not sure how the electrics or half the crap works on this car!
The radio makes a double beep noise then turns off. I then have to turn the thing on again. It seems to be 20mins or so into a journey. Its a 182 and the standard head unit. Any ideas would be welcome.

FSH. Last owner was for 7 yrs!! Think it was one of those things. (He says! ) Just moved it earlier to get the missus car out and it was fine. I just don't trust going anywhere further until it's looked at. I do tinker with cars but seeing as this is new to me will let the guys have a look, then...
Flux capacitor must have been done when the Cambelt was done. I'll get the sensor done, flush the coolant then start thinking about a new exhaust, as its blowing and looks pretty fooked. Just don't want a super loud bad boy edition exhaust ; )
Oh, so can't replace it at all?? He said the exhaust smelt like it was running quite rich and that the state of the exhaust wouldn't help mpg (original and nearly gone). Then he mentioned that I should check fuel filter and potentially replace.
Engine coolant sensor gone rogue!! Causing engine to cut off in order to 'save' it. Also he mentioned the fuel filter could do with replacing and to get a coolant flush. I won't be able to get parts tomorrow so will prob get local garage on the case and get it sorted. Made me smile when the guy...
