Ahhh hello there. You alright mate?
They're legal.
It will not be modified. And it'll be hell of a lot more comfortable than the VTS.
Thanks for the welcomes peeps :)
Hi there,
I'm not really a new member but I am a new(ish) poster. I might be around here a bit more than I already have been now as I'm looking into purchasing a Clio Sport (172).
I currently have a Mk2 Saxo VTS...
Spec's and pics can be found here...
Oh ok. A new bumper... That could be more hassle than it's worth. If I did buy the car, I don't think I could afford to have it in a garage having that repaired, etc...
Thanks.
Hi,
I've come across a reasonably priced 172 for sale. The only problem is that it has some what looks like to be minor cosmetic damage...
How would that crack on the grill and chip on the bonnet be rectified? Would a new grill be required? If so, how much would I be looking at...
Thanks for all your advice peeps... I'll go back to him with your comments and hopefully that'll put him off the idea.
I myself would never do something like that. As said, it'd be cheaper to buy a V6 rather than making a base model look like one.
I've told him exactly the same... but he will not listen. I even told him to buy a V6 and put the 1.2 16v lump in it!!! Haha!
I'm not one for bodykits, etc... either. Infact my car is subtle but effective...
Yes, I know it's a Saxo. It's french so it's allowed :)
So approx. how much...
Hi all,
A mate of mine has a 2001 1.2 16v Clio. He has asked me to look at some prices for a V6 bodykit. He has looked at some prices on the internet and one of those places being Ebay. He saw a complete kit for around £1k but because it's Ebay, etc... he's a little "worried" as to what he'll...
the normal case now regarding warranty is that if your car is modified (i.e. not factory standard) then the warranty is deamed invalid.
i was always led to believe if a problem occurs as a result of a modification, then the problem will not be covered under warranty.
however, not all dealers...
cool. thanks mate. do you the opening times of this scrappy because i could go down there myself. me and my mate (red saxo) need them, but OBVIOUSLY im more important.
nev, i looked at a clio yesterday. there were NO star keys for the door card but there were a couple of star keys holding the pocket thing to the door card.
yeh, i jus need the ones for across the bottom INTERNALLY on BOTH sides (driver and passenger)
thats really gay. how pathetic. so in THAT case, does anybody have some they want to swap!?! :D
i went to a breakers yard yesterday and saw that even the m-reg. clios have the felt on the weatherstrips. i had a bit of trouble trying to get the doorcard off.
mine come off with screws, but...
i got the duplex full stainless system for £500 as they said there will be too much work in fitting two backboxes. might as well just have the full system. its only money.
no. apart from that it was fine. about two months i got it done, i sold it though, but i got myself a FAST car, but then two months later, i had to get rid of that. now i see my old car (saxo in pic) driving around and seeing HIM with MY exhuasts gets me annoyed. oh well.
well i booked to get a duplex fitted at redhill on a saturday morning. it took me about an hour to get there because of where i live. i left my car with them and they told me it will be ready in about 3/4 hours. they said they will phone me when its ready so i walked around town. 2 and a half...
yes i have. i used the ones in redhill to get my duplex powerflow exhaust system fitted. they messed me around big time, so in the end i had to drive to bromley to get the job completed. was not impressed with the time it took, but was impressed with the results
