is this the same thing as quic detailer that you get in the clay kits? ive just ran out and halfrauds dont do it seperate and only do speed detailer. both are megs stuff but dont know if the do the same thing. i normaly use it to help dry the car off but dont know if i can use the speed...

the vvt turns on at about 11k or 12k revs iirc so you wouldnt feel it come on as its already on as you pull off from a stand still. if you are onabout the "5k kick" then that is the engine coming on cam and operating at its optimum revs. i think the vvt is purely there to help smooth the idle...
i would have thought that the heat would of made the edges of the vinyl peel back and make it look tatty but if he dont mind that then yeah, it can be done.
its just less restrictive to the air flow mate. you wont get any gains from it but its a "every little helps" type of mod. you filter will perform that little bit better with it than with out it.
check you have got a good earth on the amps and also make sure that the power cables to the amps runs down the side of the car but the phono leads run down the centre. failing that you may need what is called a supressor on the live wire going to your amps.
you was behind me in the country lane at about 4:00 ish and followed me to mile oak. would liked to have had a bit of fun in the twisties but traffic was a bit crap :(
mine does it too mate. i think they all do it to a cirtain degree but if you have a de cat on like me then it makes it worse if its not mapped to run with it.
