oh without af for the 50mm, its about 80 quid.

^ 50mm is alot cheaper than the 35mm.. infact the 50mm is a bargain. speaking nikon here.

Yeah i think the 35mm should do, i'm going to sell my 50mm for a 35mm 1.8 soon.

yes you want the nifty :P its a very nice cheap lens, great for dof. it won't auto focus on your d5000 though, so you might want to consider the 35mm which will.
