ok cool, sorry to bring this up again as its obviously a repost, but dont post at all rather then post saying? "omg were talking about this again" etc.
Thanks for all the info though.
o really, i thought it was a 1.8. thats cool though, i would of assumed the 182 was quicker due to modern technology but the added weight of the extras in a cup must hold it back.
i assume a trophy would leave a williams?
This may seem like a stupid question, but what is faster, the 182 or the Williams?? both straight line and round the bends...
I know mine (182) is 2.0 litre obviously, and the Williams is a 1.8 but im guessing it is light....
Guessing you guys know all about this so all info welcome!!
This is my cold air feed, to be honest its not that great as it doesnt go up agaisnt the grill, just takes air from under the car, think i need to get it over my pit soon and improve this.
Heres a pic though....

that looks great, does anyone know what the insurance is going to be like on it? i wont be getting one, just got my 182 and i prefer the look to be honest.
My screen wash seems to be running out way too quickly. i have had the car about 4 weeks now (182 cup) and they screen wash has run out twice. i dont understand because im sure i dont use it that much? has anyone else found this or does the 182 just have a small resevoir, i assume not. seems...
well played mate, bet it feels good to beat the garage!!
on the topics of brakes, when i drive slowly, with the music off and the windows open i can hear a slight squeking noise from the wheels, wondered if it was to do with the pads/disks??
what are the best pads to get if i want to...
i drove to camber sands yesterday and my bumper looked very similar to that!! went to the jet wash on the way home before they got to comfortable!! was pure bloodshed!
same here, bargain for 26 pounds and it sounds great....
panel filters apparently avoid torque loss, but if like me you want a beefy sound to match the performance then go for something like mine, although be warned of petrol consumption...
agreed. i have had a similar problem before, at southend a group of pikey looking blokes were threatening to kick every panel in my car in and they said they wanted to fight me. Bearing in mind im 19 and i look about 17 and they were alot older and bigger then me i was shitin it, and i had my gf...
poor quality pic off my phone but got the car gleaming yesterday!!!
look at the tyres on shine!!

i like the idea, but its a bit of a bodge, also if u go through a puddle, or even when it rains your risking your engine, if i was you i would reconsider, an engine rebuild would be costly, probably not even worth the money on a mk1. but well played for the bravery and roar factor!!
that kit sounds nice mate, the airfield looks like a lot of fun!!
would be interesting to see what the temps are when moving and in traffic...
i persoanlly can't see how having an open filter looses the torque, just can't undersand the logic, why would a higher air flow mean u loose the torque?
yer its a mess isn't it, i cant beleive he was ok apart from a few cuts and bruises. No one was injured at all, just thought id put it up to show the damage that can be done, especially as most of us on here have 18/172's.
Thank god its 5* ncap!!
