Superb driving and surprising that he likes it as Tiff usually only likes cars that a RWD and can be slid round every bend fully lol.
And how good is it where he flicks the rear out and looks like he is going to loose it yet flicks it perfectly straight...amazing
Chris
Looked great but unless you have long hair (and look like a woman) then it probably wasn't fella. Wouldn't have thought you would have come through there if you were in York
Chris
I think that the reason might be the acoustic valve opens at 5kish ( I think) so you will get a sudden increase in air to the engine hence a 'boost'. I think this is why people put a induction kit on then put the std airbox on and think that it is fast with std airbox. With the IK the acoustic...
Our 182 has just stared with the whistle as well...getting it checked asap but Nics works mechanic rekons it could be the idler bearing or alternator. I think it is the supercharger tho ;)
Chris
Lol I'm sure you just sit around waiting for a chance to spout all these figures.Everyone knows for a fact that the variance between engines is huge! Std 172 getting 14.6 sqm and others with mods getting a second slower so not sure how you can accuratly quote bhp. Obviously the official test...
I suppose it all depends on what you are after. It is just history repeating itself. Williams > 1*2 > 197. The 'progression' is making the car heavier and "better" but not necessarily so in reality.
Chris
I have to agree with you there m8...1st one especially. To me it works out at 194 ish at the fly. Best bet is to (if possible) use the same RR but then you have different air temps etc to contend with. Fly fig seems fine for your last go tho.
Good little comparison tho
Chris
Ahh think it is HDR which I haven't done before but I'm sure someone on here can do it. I'll have a quick play before I go home or maybe later at home
Cheers
Chris
I'll bell you tomoz m8...Nic has been rushed off her feet so didn't have a chance to find out but tbh I don't think they wil be much if any cheaper than other places like mytyres etc
Chris
Get the update and that will sort most of the probs out fella...my pics are fine and the 'touch screen' seems better with very few missed presses if any now
Chris
oh nooo.....not the old 'in gear' arguement again. I admit that in a decent turbo diesel the turbo grunt pulling you out of bends is great and it would seem like you weren't having to try to get a good pace out of it. In the clio you might be changing down more to get the full benefit from it...
Re: Petter Solberb tries the new Scooby Sti
To be fair I'm sure that he would have been driving a lot quick than most of us could hope to and was obviously finding the limits of the car. But it did look like there was a fair bit of US on it
