You can get a mk1 172 for about £4k+ iirc and your looking at about £2.5-3k for the insurance. you can either have pass plus or 1 ncb, not both.

It will be fine, its the perfect speed for it, any lower and it wont like it, obviously it aint gonna be for accelerating quickly or up hill at all but as said its more about the revs and slower acceleration...

if you want the best fuel through all gears, change early as posible, so like pull away then change straight away and say change at 2500 or summin.
