Eagle F1, there is no other choice. The only advantage that Falkens have is their profile is good for fitting into tight arches. Apart from that the Goodyears are ten times better in every way.
Cheers mate, Ive just found a few that had gone astray on my computer somehow. Just need to see whats in that engine bay cos I didnt really have a proper look when I was up at BB yesterday.

I dont know anything about ceramic coating, sorry...dont let me put you off exhaust wrap though, remember the 1.8 and 2.0 16v engines get incredibly hot compared to the 1.4 and the manifold on my 1.8 looks like spaghetti junction. Can you put a picture on here so I can see whether your manifold...
As the header says, has anyone got the picture of the engine bay of the turbo Clio that BB built and brought down to Southend last time? I need to have a look at it and I cannot find that picture that was doing the rounds...

Right, next question: engine management...
What exactly is the difference between the 16v and Williams ECU? The current plan is to send off my 16v Stage 2 ECU to Hill Power to have it swapped over for a Williams Stage 2 ECU. But Im interested in what makes one different from the other. Mainly...
No thats alright I know what you mean, best to clear up what we all mean on here!Otherwise wed all end up like this
But it might be interesting to see 66 degrees of advance though...
Yes thats what I mean by full advance. It would have been a bit of a mouthful to give the complete explanation as you have done Simon. But what I meant by full is as far as it will go by removing the safety margin.
Chris I am thinking I might well need your help mate, Ive tried most of those scrappies, just not the Basildon one.
Ben Ive sourced the bits I need but that engine was definitely no F7 I dont think. The black box was more like a lunch box than a coil pack!
Scooby Ill look out for you if Im...
One said Broken the other said Underwater testing onlyand the third said 100k miles test...:D
It was a mileage tag on each like 40km or 150km. Something like that, but the problem is 40km under what conditions?
The advance is taken care of in the ECU. My chip is not a standard Hill Power one, but basically it runs full advance at WOT, whatever the revs (or at least thats what I think it does!)
Yes, the division of the charge was the reason why I said more r****d would be needed at the bottom, cos in...
If you compare two Piper Cams with each other for the 16v and Williams it looks very similar, everything except the lift eg. Piper 285
Power band Power Duration Valve lift Timing Full lift
16v 2500-7300 18bhp 276/276 10.87/10.87 32-64/64-32...
Simon that will be just mental once its built, I cant wait to see it! Anyway lets run through whats there:
Ill need to pay someone to do the machining.
I can get a Williams crank for £250.
I can use original conrods
Dont know how much the bolts and bearings etc will cost me.
I can get a...
