Sorry dunno on the 4 door as ive only ever had the hatch back versions
The only problem i had on my 16v was when water came in on the off side rear and started rusting between the 2 panels, sorted under warranty thou (8yr body warranty came in handy )
But i would expect that the water should...
Man,
I see your point, unfortunately the TD04 isnt capable of running that sort of boost pressure (ie much over 22psi) so your figures are a little out
As far as a scooby engine is concerned, it was designed for the turbo, the turbo will therefore enhance its power etc (so it doesnt need...

Do you have a 3, 4 or 5 door 19?
You may find that your drainage ways are clogged if your getting water in your boot and as for the sunroof.... it shouldnt be too much of a problem to replace the seal, just try to take it off first. it should just be sitting on there but you may want to put a...
Nice figures but a little unrealistic...
Why i hear you all cry?
Cos the turbos only good for around 280bhp before it becomes inefficient...
How do i know this?
Cos my Scoob is fitted with a TD04 turbo thats why and after 280bhp its worth going for something a little bigger like a td05 or...

As i was told by an expert, why would you want fuel exploding in your turbo?
now how long do you want your turbo to last? ie 1000 miles? (if lucky!)
Chu, what car is the DV for to start with? and what is fitted to it at the moment?
If the car was designed with a re circ then IMHO id stick to...

Rich,
Me Phase 2 was rolling roaded in standard form at 177bhp, 147bhp@wheels
I know they have 167bhp std but some are not quite as good as others for some reason

Give me a week to bed my new tyres in and ill take 2fast4u on (well if a 1.2 16v can keep up with an evo then a scoob is nothing is it? ) and if he thinks that the older 318s can keep up (we are talking 115bhp here on a G reg, 100bhp on the 316s) i think hes in for a little shock!

Well having owned 2 GTI-6s all i have to say is that the phase 2 one felt quicker than the phase 1 that i had (also pushing out 177bhp in standard form )
What alot of people seem to forget is that this engine is VERY tunable it is also detuned by over 30bhp as 200bhp isnt a problem, that...
