I wouldnt worry too much about the mileage, a 1.6 16V isnt a hot hatch in everyones eyes. As an example, my grandma drives a 1.6 16V RSi (mk2 ph1 shape) and she sure as hell hasnt done over 30K lol.
So common assumptions like "its probably been ragged, mileage seems low" etc dont always apply...
Erm, this looks by far better than any mk1 (excl. smokeys) ive seen!!!

Looks fooking awesome in black, it would be a crime not to buy it heheh. Why people got it in other colours ill never know this looks the nutts!!!! :D
Old shape wont affect resale value at all, infact the old shape is more in demand than the new shape, cos people prefer it!
Id deffo have it if the cost to change wasnt out of reach!
kingJimBob, get one!
I ordered one last week and are waiting for it now, would be class if another RT owner got one at least then there could be some comparisons done :D
peak torque is 3500rpm iirc so doubt a close box would help much?
My 0-60 is somewhere between 9 and 11 secs, i recorded it and playing it back on the PC showed 9.2secs 0-60, 12.0secs 0-70 so its somewhere around there. :)
I will try and get some slightly more accurate times when i get my...
The clio V6 comes with one of the most perfected soundtracks on the planet, iirc its called something like 3-7K rpm symphony :D
Who cares about room, its a mans car that doesnt even come into it. Like clarkson suggests, if you have any shopping that wont go in the boot... throw it away! :D...
Passed my test in a 1.2 mk1 phase2 back in april 1999, stepped into my RT in may this year, drove 50miles home in it. Was bliss compared to the 1.0L H reg uno i left at the garage lol :)
This is the same decision as i had to make, my insurance is quite expensive (due to 9points) and i needed a new car.
Saw a nice blue RSi with only 60K and FSH, mint for £1,850 private.
And an Met Green RT with 52K, FSH (plus alloys and spoiler) 2 lady owners and one bloke in his 50s. Mint...
182 sport try re-reading my post, if you still struggle try this mate:

There are too many ways to look at it you cant generalise the arguement unless you define a set of rules which define one as better than the other, at the end of the day its personal preference and opinions that fuel the arguement. There will always be opposing views and there will always be...
Nah, i think they should seperate the performance gap between the 182 and the V6 more, dont get me wrong 255 BHP is massive for a clio, but a Supercharged V6 running 350-400 BHP would be simply awesome, even if it was just for the noise! :D
Get one if you want one. If its what you want dont let anyone stop you.
Personally i think paying £3600 (PER YEAR!) for insurance is insane, if your willing to pay that your either rich or a complete nutter. Have a fault claim and you will lose sh*tloads and have to sell the car (as you wont...
Rubbish, of course you would drive it fast thats what its designed for!
Is "just knowing its there" worth £3600 in insurance and a possible massive loss in money "if" you have a crash?
Would you like me to repeat what i said! above.
"i guarantee you will crash it."
