As above my RAM and SSD are both from Crucial but I think the Samsung EVO SSD’s are highly regarded. If you install an SSD there is a little set up of installing the OS on it, it’s pretty straight forward though I just followed a YouTube video and used a USB drive.
My MacBook is pretty much exactly the same base spec, late 2011 i5 but I’ve upgraded the RAM to 16 GB and put a SSD in there and to this day it’s perfect, the only downside is the battery is poor now but this can be upgraded quite easily.
Decided to give the E36 a wash tonight. Unfortunately due my job situation I think I’m going to be putting it up for sale once lockdown is over. Pretty gutted but it won’t get used enough for me to keep it.
Still got this however due to the lockdown it’s not moved for 4 weeks and the battery was flat so there must be a drain somewhere. Bought a cheap trickle charger from a recommendation on here yesterday and after a few hours on charge it fired up happily. It’s filthy and with the nice weather...
I’m picking one of these up later after I collect the shopping, I forgot to disconnect the battery on the E36 and it’s now flat so I can’t move it around the drive. No jump leads either. Do you keep it plugged in permanently when the car is parked up?
Yeah sorry didn’t explain myself very well, if you’re a Sky customer you can pause the subscription for a few months and you still have access to the Sports channels and any recordings.
