slap some jump leads on to find out..
A multi meter will tell you it has 12v, turn the engine with them still on for a voltage drop reading.. A dead battery will pull it below 10, where you dont really want much of a drop at all from the 12v
Lights will nearly always come on with a flat/low battery, but go when you turn the key.. Having power is one thing, having enough to turn an engine is another..
Never rule it out until your sure.. Jump leads sure
One click... Battery ok?
The starter throws the cog into the flywheel and then give it the beans, if your getting a click, it's either a flat battery, or the cogs firing in, but not turning..
Faulty starter?
Check the wires, whack it with a bar.. Its second hand, it happens..
I have a friend who would go around with his equally as hilarious friend, find bodykitted cars, ripped the bodykits off and put them on the roof..
Local cinema was a good place as you were guaranteed a 2hr window..
They moved from ripping off kits to the old hardcore nitromors and then...
Credit cards...
Back when people were doing this it was almost impossible to get a newer car on tick if you were young... Only when I started driving did the Saxo free insurance bandwagon start rolling and a Saxo westcoast was about the only option..
Also, how many people go out, buy and...
Wowzers... If you only need to buy them once its value for money.. I've changed quite a few..
I think the left one gets a harder time, always seems to shaft that mount in no time.
On a clio etc a set of Dunlop/laser tracker gauges are fine unless you have camber bolts, but that can be with a camber gauge fitted to the wheel..
A hunter alignment is awesome tho..
Get any oe parts you need now if you don't have them..
Your investment will be worthless when you pay through your ar5e for parts..
Brand new gt turbo parts are pretty much unavailable, 2nd hand is mostly held by 2 traders..
Lucky I've been stashing parts for years..
The reason they cost so much was someone made the effort with the design and they weren't fibre glass, the were rock hard plastic abs (is it what it's called)
In a world of body kits they were the least best, but the owners could still use decent quality parts make you vomit..
This guy got worse, he used to locktite on the bottom cam pulley so it was stuck.. The cam cover was p1ss poorly resealed and the water pump sealant was smeared on with a broom.. To remove the cam seals he hammered a screw driver in the edge, rather than popping the middles..
Jamie's trying to...
The worst Saxo kit was due to a max power competition where people sent in their designs.. The winner would get the first kit for his car and then they would sell the kit design..
The devil'io or somesh1t kit was born..
My Renault 5 ready for a trip to the painters.. Only been nearly 6 years sat in the garage..
The rolling road b4/after graph in the background was a private joke..
I'm gonna do the fill it with high temp sealent, I'll then wrap it in good old duct tape or something so it can't break down and fall out.. Shazam..
Read it in the other hanger thread, sounds a good idea as it strengthens the existing like the modifications above..
The red polys are sh1te..
Sorted my Cambelt out last week and after a fair few attempts got it spot on, car feels epic..
Pulled apart a local members 182 today and wow, the last mechanic was a tool.. How much red lock sealent can one guy use.. We had to go as far as burning the stuff off with a Superfire2, the cam...
I could trust myself to push it out a little without making it worse.. Id get it 70% the way there and be happy not to bother fixing further.. For now..
how good was it in jan? I'd like to see more than 6 month of swirl free paintwork or I'll have no paint left in the future..
Polished it and up your game, the real skill is maintaining the paintwork, buffing it's easy..
It's on a line/crease, the worst ones to repair...
I'd ask if a specialist could get it perfect and price it.. If they can't promise perfection without painting the car, I'd push it out myself and keep my money..
He's selling a trophy engine for £1300 with some free arrows...
He clearly knows that the trophy engine is a limited run and comes with extra bhp making it worth almost as much as a whole car.
They wouldn't do anything... My fellow troll had a non payer on an item, so we won all his items and didn't pay.. I just said he asked for more money and he claimed otherwise..
eBay didn't even contact me and he had his time wasted... Win win
I run a normal filter, in 15 years I've never thought, wow that after market filter has made the car amazing..
It's a nice sound, mostly placebo and money out your pocket.. You'll get more free power stripping the car out and losing weight, having a big sh1t in the morning.
If it's effecting gears, then start gearbox side..,
If I was gonna change 1, is change them all as I can't be ar5ed to do another 6 months later.. I'm sure oe won't break the bank. Mine have been good 10 years, I'm sure they'll do the job
Did the. Yesterday myself, I didn't mash up, used wet and dry buy hand and carefully buffed with the das6pro..
They look good but I think the damage is starting to get deeper in the plastic, and the before picture is 2 years after the last buff.. They don't last like when new..
