Ahh yeh I've got that kit from Renaultpartsdirect. The upside down hat shaped washer doesn't seem to fit in the gap it should, maybe I wasn't being forceful enough with it. As I think that would hold it all in
Managed to change the track rod end on one side tonight so that's one fail cleared.
Went to look at the "snapped" bolt in exhaust, turns out it's not snapped at all. Looked more like the bolt holes have just decided to run away.. is this normal? (Cat left, mani right)
Took my Trophy for it's MOT this afternoon and had 3 fails, 0 advisories.
First is; Exhaust system not adequately supported front. Apparently one of the bolts is missing between cat and manifold. Already ordered the kit from renaultpartsdirect.
Second; Track rod end excessive play. I'm going...
I just pulled it and it seemed to split in the perfect place, just had to trim down the fabric. Been for a drive and I think it's the best £50 ive ever spent, so happy
No metal pipe. I'm completely standard at the moment.
I opted for the red silicone purely for the colour. Soo... TB > Standard Elbow > Silicone Elbow > Ramair? In which case i won't need joiners?
I'm confused. I've just ordered the ramair cone and a 90 degree ASH silicone elbow in red (obvs). Apart from jubilee clips, do I need anything else? I've seen others having to get joiner things?
Not going to win as I couldn't wait any longer. This was just before this mornings wash.
Had these horrible black stripes up the bonnet.
And a dirty as f**k side.
Quick snowfoam or 5 and a wash mitt later...
So far I've been braking as late as possible into the first turn, going wide to the start of turn 2 but not hitting the kerb as it's like a f***ing speed bump. Then just staying as tight in turn 2 until the extra lump of red kerb and then i start going wide. Something like that anyway...
Stripper scent only lasts about 3 minutes though.
Currently on California Scents Extreme - lightening linen. last ages and smells fresh rather than of something you'd eat
