I am finally getting rid of the raceland coilovers that are on it at the moment. Just ordered cooksport springs, awaiting to order all standard cup suspension and some other suspension parts.
Today I decided to paint the splitter, grill and inlet manifold. The splitter was in terrible...
Followed a 2005 black 182 through Maidstone at around 10:30 tonight and ended going up the same way for about 10 miles haha.
Had a few gauges on the drivers side pillar! Had a bit of fun haha!
Around 3 nights a week me and a few mates tend to go for a random drive. Usually me in my Clio, my friend in his MK5 R32 and a mate in a E46 M3. Keep up with them everywhere! Good little roads around Kent and all national speed limit
Wow, you have done a very good job of detailing it! It looks absolutely immaculate! Really nice to see a 10 year old car looking like its just left the factory :). Did you apply the Poorboy's Black Hole by hand??
Hello,
hopefully someone will be able to help me with this!
I currently have coilovers (cheap racelands came on it when I bought it) they are driving me mad, so I am looking to go back to standard dampers and Cooksport springs.. I can find every part I need to go back to standard apart from...
Brilliant write up.
I have the NS2-R's on the front and t1r's on the back. The Nankangs are incredible, I am very suprised at how well they have coped over the last 4 months. I have taken them on track once and they performed very well, just had a little to much pressure in them.
They are on...
This has made me want to sell the 182 and get a Ph1 172.. WOW, absolutely amazing work, really is amazing. Its given me inspiration to get my 205 gti perfect, although I don't think its possible for me to own a car this clean (unless factory fresh).
I watched the Evo Magazine review of the Clio 182 Trophy on Youtube, I realised I needed a 182 after this!
The main thing that attracted me was the handling and speed for the money!
Personally I care more about how the car drives.. So I will always try and sort out the running gear of a car before doing the bodywork (but that's just me).
I need my wheels refurbished at the moment, but I am putting it at the end of the list of things to do as it wont change how the car...
Very lucky!
My friends dad has just finished restoring his F40, I really cannot wait to go out in it..
Anyway the picture with the red 288gto black Enzo and Blue f40gt? Looks like a couple of cars from Jon Hunt's supercar collection! The guy who has the TaxTheRich100 youtube channel :D
Haven't updated for a while.. I have been trying to get the Clio immaculate, I keep forgetting to take photos of how I am doing this, Just like getting it all Oem and looking clean. Since the last update I have been working underneath the Clio, giving it a full service and replacing coolant...
Believe it was Summeh? Didn't realise it was a v6, did wonder why someone was driving quite fast behind me haha :) Shame it's wet out otherwise I would have seen it was a v6 and may have put my foot down a bit haha. I only realised once you drove past me!
Saw a very nice Clio Trophy parked in Odeon underground in Maidstone tonight. Then I saw a 51 plate blue 172 just under the bridges by the bottom of bluebell hill. I was in my friends "Orange" Fiesta st!
Wondered if either of you were on here?
I was in my BG 182. Didn't do any laps! But did cruise around a little bit.. Had a play with a blue 200 on the way out of the dartford tolls, which was fun ;) Think you drove past me and gave me a thumbs up
My yozza is really loud below 2.5k rpm. Seems to quieten down in the car under heavy load and then get noisy again at top end. Thought the yozza would have a bit more "rasp" to it, which makes me wonder if i should get the cat sleeved
Had a chance to really test these tyres over the past few days. They are amazing, I am soo suprised at how well the car sticks to the road now. Especially with the t1r's on the back it feels planted round corners now! I would recommend them to anyone.
Especially as they only cost £80 a corner...
Just went through the whole thread! Wow, really nice and clean 182. Made me realise that mine needs a bit of care and attention before the summer.. oh and some turinis :approve:
