Since no one has said it yet...As you have a tiger machine, likely a bit older. You may have issues with installing boot camp 3.0 in windows 7 for the x64 drivers. If you get the message, "Boot Camp x64 is unsupported on this computer model"
What you will need to do in windows 7 once it is...
There is apparently an MMO of fallout being planned / developed.
As well as New Vegas and Fallout 4. So 3 games set for release over the next few years.
Brentacre were much cheaper than anywhere else for me. Flux wanted £1800, brentacre £750.
I have no idea where they got £1800 for a C4 from, especially when I am 26 with 7 years of no claims.
Re: iPhone 4G (No longer rumours)
Officially 12 months is the warranty period. You should however be able to get more than that out of them. There is an EU legislation which means they should supply a minimum 24 month warranty on their products.
However in the UK you can in theory get up to 6...
Student discount brings them down to under £50. Which isn't too bad for a wireless mouse to be honest.
I just find it slightly too thin. Makes my hand hurt after a while.
£1000 on an Apple will not get you a great machine. As you said going to be a base model iMac or a low end MBP. Which means smallish screens, not fun for sitting at for many hours.
Honestly if you are going to be spending a lot of time reading etc.
Might I suggest another route.
Mac mini and...
You do not need a 1000W PSU for a 5970 where did you get that info from? Your average system i7 965 @ standard 3.2ghz, 6gb ram 2 hdd with a 5970 in it at full load running benchmarks will consume around 400 - 500w that is all. No need to go and stick 1000w PSU's in it. Typically less than 400w...
Pointless. You won't see games being able to use that power from a while yet. Infact a lot of high end apps can't even use it. There are reviews out showing them to be no more powerful due to software not being able to make use of all 12 threads.
Remember an i7 is an 8 threaded CPU. The i5 and...
Was a fairly decent day.
Think I need to get a few more bits done to the C4 and then get it mapped again.
Although for an induction kit and what looks like a bad remap 176hp wasn't too bad.
PS2 was due out and no one wanted a Sega machine after the failure of the Saturn. It was all about the Sony machines back then. I loved my DC though. Will be able to get it set up again properly soon, once I get my Media room finished.
Thing is when you really get down to it they are just an LG LED monitor in an apple case. for half the money again. Is it really worth spending that extra in this case for purely an Apple badge?
I like my macs but not sure their displays are worth the money. They have some really annoying...
Benefit is if you do need to format in the future you only format the 50gb partition windows is on. Everything else stays exactly the same.
Makes formatting, installing new OS's etc much easier and faster.
Re: iPhone 4G (No longer rumours)
I think that is more down to the fact that everything looks like an iPhone now. A lot of the devices are trying to emulate the iPhone styling and GUI. But adding their own take on it.
Personally I quite like the design of the new one. Prefer it to my 3G and it...
i5 for gaming won't be any slower. The i7 is only really useful if you are compiling, dvd encoding etc. No games are going to make use of the extra 4 threads.
Drop to an i5 and spend the saving on moving to a 5870. You will get an overall better system. GPU is more important and the 5850 is a...
Looks fine to me. Will play pretty much anything you throw at it. No point in an i7 as a gamer / normal user. Only really useful if you are encoding / compiling etc.
MS Security essentials is a great bit of kit as well. Rate it higher than AVG and other free software I have tried. Don't notice it running either until it detects something, then it only pops up to say the threat has been dealt with.
The VTS was never meant to be a hot hatch though. It was always more of a comfortable car which you can still have a bit of fun in.
Anyway picture of mine. I really need to get some better pictures of it. It is on Bilstein B14's. Rear isn't actually that low normally just had a fair amount of...
The VTS does sit lower. Around 20mm I believe. Don't notice it so much until you park next to one running at standard ride height though and then you can see it in the mirrors.
They are the standard wheels, facelift Loebs get black wheels with black paint, white wheels with red paint...
Sure Bilstein can do custom valving on the B14 kits. You just lose the lifetime warranty. Least that what the little bit of paper with mine basically says.
They look wrong without the spoiler though. The spoiler is what makes the car. In the flesh they just don't look right without them. Spoiler was only ever fitted to the Loebs and VTS180 models. Rest of them it was an optional extra at one point they were nearly £600 to add as well.
The C4 does basically swallow wheels. Not sure if you have seen the pics of mine but its roughly 80mm down on 18's and it only just about looks right.
The 1.6's are much more comfortable than the VTS though. Great cruises the 1.6's though which if you are doing lots of miles is a good thing...
I'm with Roy on this one. 360 pad ergonomically is much more comfortable. I come away with sore fingers when using the PS3 pad due to where the analogue sticks are. Just not in a comfortable place. Where as the 360 sticks and buttons just sort of fall naturally where they should. I don't need to...
C2 lads do a similar mod. They did have some flow information on at some point. Was going to do it to my C4 throttle body. As said every little helps. I mean it costs nothing except an hour or two of your time to do it.
The Corsair water cooling thing is a sealed set up it comes prefilled. No need to find pure water it is already inside it. You just attach the radiator to a 120mm fan point, install the 120mm fan on the radiator. And then attach it to the CPU like any other heatsink. That's it. Job done.
Water...
I need something like this for my C4.
My drive has trees over it so in the summer the car gets covered in tree sap.
I can wash the car and an hour later it is covered in sap again. So if I don't wash the car every 2nd day or so the windows get so badly covered you can't see out properly and...
Think the Clio's only really work on wheels with quite a lot of spokes personally. Turini's, 1.2's, SuperT's, ultraleggera's etc.
They just don't look right on 5 spoke wheels in my opinion.
