If so...how long did it take?
Did you have any problems?
Ive printed off Frostys guide which seems straighforward enough, and Ive got all the required tools, but Ive only got 90mins between meetings this afternoon, and being late for the second meeting is not an option!
Most of my driving is to and from work, and 75% of that is on a gloriously clear dual carriageway...so Im probably at 75-85mph for most of the time.
In the manual it says that for motorway driving you should set your pressures to 39psi (F) + 33psi (R)...so I did...and I think Im going to leave...

Can anyone say with authority that if getting my 53 Cup serviced at a non-franchised dealer, assuming that the work is of a satisfactory standard and...
...having a Cup with no problems that is!
Yesterday...parked up...went into Halfords to take some mats back...come back out and Ive got a 6 inch crack running from the drivers side lower corner diagonally up into my line-of-sight. I know it wasnt there before I went in as (very sad) in the...
On the way home last night I gave it some on a few occasions (as you do) and a few times after doing so it became difficult to pull it out of gear...like it was stuck. It did release but needed a firm pull/push and only happened when changing from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.
I know a few people...
...172 owners with your nice straightforwards five spoke alloys. My f***ing hand nearly dropped off today having given my Cup a spruce up for the first time since I got it!
Was only about 6 degrees outside and I was shivering like a t**t before I even got to the wheels...they took so long to...
The First Week…
Well, the Cup finally arrived last Friday, but true to form I had to wait at work, in the freezing cold until 6:30pm before the delivery driver finally showed up (it was meant to arrive in the morning…but then it was meant to have arrived during the second week of September...
...sleep at night when you know your new Cup is going to be delivered this coming Friday morning!!!!!!
Four months of hard work and nothing in the way of information from New Car Discount.com...but theyve come good in the end :D
Just spoken to New Car Discount.com and my Cup was delivered to their dealer today...I get a reg. no. tomorrow morning to sort out the insurance, and all going well (hope, hope) I should have the Cup on my drive by Wed/Thu next week.
Its been a very painful wait...I ordered it back in...
Now what Im in at the moment drinks like theres no tomorrow...the fuel light is normally on before 300 miles and its gasping come 330...and this is with a 60 litre tank.
What size is the 172/Cups tank, and how far do you get during normal driving (normal being a mix of motorway, A/B-roads, and...
Still waiting for my "new" Cup to be delivered and still waiting for confirmation of when its going to get to me...a***!
Then this morning, at an independant dealer just down the road from where I work, theyve got a 52 reg Cup with 4k on it. Went to see it at lunch and all seems sound...they...
Ive got a track day at Castle Combe to book up some time before June 04 and was wondering what, if anything, people do regarding their insurance?
Ive read that unless theres a specific exclusion on your normal policy, as youd not be racing or timing on the day, conventional insurance should...
Having paid my deposit to New Car Discount.com in the middle of July, and twice there being delays which pushed back delivery of my Cup, Ive had it confirmed today that I should see it during the week ending 7 November.
At f***ing last! Barely two weeks to go...I feel sleepless nights coming on...
Finally got a delivery date from New-Car-Discount.Com for the Cup...and Im now not going to get my hands on it until about 7th November. It doesnt arrive at Renault UK until the 5th, and I should see it a couple of days later.
Its been eight weeks since I ordered it already...I was starting to...
I always thought that Id never get into modding cars, but with the Cup on order, and having been researching everything I can find on this forum, the temptation is to great to resist! So I started thinking...
I want to keep the whole car looking as standard as possible, but just want to...
Gutted! Im off on holiday next week and the only thing that was keeping me sane was knowing that the week I get back Id have a shiny brand spanking new Cup parked outside.
Got an e-mail today saying that the Renault factory have bumped back 172/Cup production until 22 september so Ill not see...
Got the latest issue of Evo yesterday and there was a lengthy piece about the long term Cup theyve got.
The guy ended up likening it to a Lotus Cortina, such is its focus and driver appeal.
Im glad, it should do wonders for the residuals.
Now, before I start let me just state for the record that to date, Ive never even sat in either of these, let alone driven them.
Right then, Ive got a Cup on order (should be with me by the 3rd week of September) and find myself continually trying to imagine what its going to be like. Having...
So far Ive picked up what I need to look out for when taking delivery of my Cup in September (soooo long to wait!)...missing splitter, "Cup 172" badges, tool-kit, tyre foam. Is there anything else that Renault forget on a regular basis?
Also, looking through the brochure, theres no mention of...
This is killing me! Ive got to wait until the third week of September before I get my Cup, until then Im stuck in my overweight Mondeo, and to cap it all my friends just taken delivery of a Leon Cupra R.
The Cup...never sat in one, never even test driven a Clio, dont want to until mines...
...but I was sat in bed last night drooling over the Cup brochure (six weeks and counting before delivery!) and re-reading (for the 100th time) the Evo review where they pitted the Cup against the RS, when I saw in the specs that the Cup has "smart wipers". I know theyre not automatic as on the...
Hi All…first post here…bear with me on this…
First there was a Triumph Toledo (anyone remember them?). Absolutely knackered rear suspension with nothing in the way of damping meant at a standstill you could press the boot down and "bounce" the back wheels off the road. It taught me huge...
