This is something I completely forgot to even think about. Was doing OK-ish around the 'ring in a Megane 265 then found it oversteering everywhere and braking in anything other than a straight line was impossible...then I noticed the rears we're totally stone cold but the fronts nice and toasty...
I have it an hour last night. No bugs, sound through my headset was fine. Having driven nothing other than Horizon for a couple of years though, I found it f**king hard. Got lapped by 50% AI on a 5'lap race around Brands Indy LOL
Yeah, this is going to be good. Looking forward to having more...
I had exactly this on my 172 Cup for 30k or so before I finally knackered the gearbox once and for all by driving over a cone at pace at Goodwood.
It only ever happened when I was really rushing the change on track so I just slowed them down and lived with it.
I'm downloaded and ready to go.
Does anyone know if XboxOne stick rigidly to the 'releaesed 7th May' date meaning I won't be able to fire it up until midnight tomorrow? Or is there a chance I'll be able to play it early?
Disappointed no handbrake and/or tyre smoke...you're letting the ST's image down!
As epic roads go though, that's right up there. Shame it was closed off.
And weighs less according to Evo magazine's scales!
I'm sure JT said the 220 Trophy would be in the hands of, and road tested by, motoring journalists by the end of April.
There's a couple of days remaining...Renault fail to deliver again?
How badly do you want audio from a separate mic?
Zoom H1 (http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/h1) badly? I've had mine six months now, fantastic little thing.
Think I might go and but new brakes for it tomorrow. Technically they're not yet needed but I'm itching to get wheels off and get on with it before getting it back out on track!
That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'll be paying very close attention when it goes for it's final freebie service.
Not a member but this is a private invite only day and I've been fortunate enough to be invited, sorry!
This is exactly what I've done with both sets so far, I rotated them diagonally both times at about 9k. First set did two trackdays and were all done by 17k. Current set have only done one trackday and I think I'll get 19 or maybe even 20k out of them.
This is my second set, I love how the car feels on them on both road and track, I get huge mileage from them and they're what the car came with. No need to change at all as far as I'm concerned!
A little update from me, the oil level has remained constant for the last couple of weeks, I'm well over 34k now and the second set of Bridgestones and the original pads and discs all round still have enough meat on them for a good few k miles more. As said many times before I'll be going for a...
The tips on my ST were like that recently when I gave the car its first thorough post winter clean.
I probably spent half an hour on my knees and used 1/3 tube of Autosol but got them back looking like new in the end.
Yep, mine are fine. It's still on the pads and discs it left the factory with 34,000 miles ago, I've had zero fade on track and there's a good 2mm left on all pads all round.
As @Scrooge says, if they're working OK the standard ones are fine. So much so that even with a few options out there...
They are indeed! I was kind of relying on their natural survival instinct to do what they normally do and that's fly away at the last second so I share some of the blame.
There was also a whole load of s**t down the side to my front wheel arch. It was proper baked on when I got home last...
I would do exactly this. Nothing at all.
I ruined my 172 Cup by being obsessed with making in a leaner meaner track machine. What I should have done is a load more trackdays in it and just enjoyed it for what it was, a very capable car straight out of the box.
I've always said Apple are the best marketeers on the planet. If they made Apple ice cubes Eskimos everywhere would be wetting themselves.
And just LOL at the stainless strap links taking 9 hours to make, is there a link to that nugget of information? I'd love to read the detailed ins and outs...
