Various different Grit sandpapers from 80-2500 grit then a big mounted polishing mop and polishing soap
I think it took be about 12-13 hours all together, not bad for my 1st bit of real polishing up :)
Hmm yeah i dont have much either, i started on the manifold but decided to get it done buy a professional because the casting pattern is quite deep into it and needs sand blasting realy. Also would like a better finish than i got on the injector cover.
i didnt fit it, was lazy and got k-tec to do it for me, but didnt take them long to fit it, and they had to replace all the mounts too because mine were nakered
Live in Olney but always in MK for work and the GF, Definatly up for a meet in MK but not at cruise as its full of mostly morons.
AB 182 got ktr supersport exhaust on it so its noticable, not many round with non standard exhausts in mk.
Lol i liked it how it was. i wasnt trying to make it look like a 182 i just honestly love that style of exhaust. But now i got a real 182 :D which i persnally think the exhausts look awful on her stupid piddly little things, good job new exhaust booked for wednesday.
Sorry for the essay XD
Depends if u want 'power' or just the noise, if u want noise then definatly worth it, love mine as it roars XD.
Power wise u can see a very minimal bhp differance either + or - from standard depending on heat soak and filter youd be using. Wether its just a foam or paper...
My old 1.2 had a 182 look exhaust, both pipes worked, same as a 172 can have a 182 look exhaust, just a thin pipe between the bumper and the wheel well. Also mine had 172 wheels standard, but the black plastic gives it away and the rear drum brakes etc etc etc...
Good job i will be coming down to see you soon then Dan, just need a saturday im not doing anything. Also milton keynes doesnt help with mpg tbh, roundabout after roundabout and traffic jams :(
I got 35mpg in my 1.2 when ragging it, my 182 gets me 30-31 mpg driving like miss daisy which doesnt happen often. Mpg does irritate me a bit, but then i think there are worse mpg cars out there.
haha go for it mate, im sure ul do good in it, u done any more mods yet or got any more planned??? also theres a meet up at Bury St Edmunds on 3rd march, u around??
Fitted battery cover finally. Inector cover is polished up now but needs fitting, just got another Inlet Manifold so i can polish it up then swap it over once i have put a fair few hours into it.
That 182 wouldnt of been me i dont think, i go on the A5 then cut through Newport pangell and the nice backroads home, much more fun when giving it a bit :)
