    iPhone 12

So it’s an updated iphone 4 then? I should buy one as I’ve been moaning about iPhones since the 4 (for shape) and how even a case and screen protector doesn’t protect a curved screen) managed to break my 7+ Screen in the first week even with a case and glass screen protector! Didn’t even break...

How can you hate Porsche’s! Did one come on to your mrs?

Ah, sorry... “bants” above me then! Good work going back to std lights too.

Clio 182 - road car / track car / race car

Exactly. The clio I got recently had mikalor clamps for the induction pipework, totally pointless. The clamp on the throttle body was so wide it sat on top of the bead and you could just pull the hose off!

Where are all the Cup racers?

As in the originals from the clio cup back in the early 00’s?

    I bought my dream car.

Nice price! Thought my mate was doing well getting a 996 C4 for £6500 (black manual with sports seats too!) Congrats on a dream car! I’ve driven my mate’s one a couple of times and it goes better than I’d have expected.

Reliant Robin with CBR1100 engine, mad c***s only need apply

“Ultimate track car” may be a slight stretch. Prob a laugh for about half hour but wouldn’t fancy having the engine in there next to me.

Moffxx Iceberg 172 Cup - Progress Thread

Must admit I didn’t know about iceberg cups until I saw one on eBay yesterday and then this. Do love the colour, mine looks almost light blue in the low afternoon light.

Moffxx Iceberg 172 Cup - Progress Thread

Can’t blame you there, I guess you can just keep hold of the cup stuff anyway.

    Power Tool Perverts

Yeah that’s crap then. I really like my snap on impact sockets. I’m no fan boy as my dealer will tell you but I do love my snap on impacts. In fact, I wouldn’t buy normal chrome sockets if I were starting again. Six sided impact sockets FTW! I prefer the way they feel on the fastener. All...

    AHH NO BRAKES

That pipe should most definitely not be repaired like that! I wonder if the issue appeared on the MOT due to getting it through emissions and the pipe becoming very soft from the heat of the manifold below & stationary car. It was then able to completely suck itself shut/collapse and the one...

It’s a sign, send it back and you’ll be wondering what you were even thinking in a few weeks/months.

    RB 182 Cup Track Project

Gotcha, sorry didn’t read that bit thoroughly enough.

    RB 182 Cup Track Project

Sounds like a good hire car scam (regards the limiter). Wouldn’t exactly be hard to fit a rev limiter to the car, just shows it’s all about the ‘little’ earner there!

    Fair Value - Ph1 F1's

They do look a bit ‘Halfords wheel silver’ but I thought OP was eluding to them being original. They back pic does look like they’ve been painted with the fade of shades near the mounting face but I’ve zero idea what they should look like. If you know yours are original I’d say you’re the man...

    Fair Value - Ph1 F1's

I’d say you’ll get strong money to someone with a ph1 if they’re the original finish. You say they’re the original tyres too? I’d not be surprised if someone would pay you £400 easily for them if they’re all original. I wouldn’t but then again I might if I had some original low mileage ph1...

Is it just me or have i just paid my money to join a club that doesnt cater for my model?

I’ve been on here 16 years but I’ve only recently got into the place. Before this year I’d hardly visit but then I’d never really read the general chat (not sure I even could before paying?) I don’t know whether it has changed much(?) but I did get quite into the general chat area earlier this...

    Saxo VTS

Cool little car, looks in nice nick too! These always remind me of my bro-in-law... bloke has his balls in my sisters purse and is completely under the thumb! Back when these were new he wanted a VTS & went on about them for ages saying he was going to get a new one. He went with my sis to...

    Foamectomy ?

ok, well have a look where the seat rail bolts to the floor. As standard there’s some 10-12mm spacers between the rail and the floor, undo the bolts from underneath the car and remove the spacers then just slip a washer in (so the seat moves easily still otherwise you’ll be trapping the carpet...

    Exhaust woes (loud)

Well I’d read they will technically bolt on the engine no problem but couldn’t find anything on the actual fit down the back of the engine. Reason I’d want it was I’d assumed the 197 exhaust was a better evolution of the sport clio manifold and cat. The 182 mani was better than 172, 197 should...

    Exhaust woes (loud)

Yep. My hearing is really good so maybe I’m sensitive to it but it genuinely made me feel ill yesterday, can’t be good for you. Not that you’d get on track but I’d prob throw up after a couple of laps.

    Exhaust woes (loud)

I just took my son out and he noticed that at the ‘sweet spot’ for the vibe/ noise when you talk it even makes your voice change. Must admit today it wasn’t as bad as my hissy fit yesterday. It had the seats down yesterday as was full off spares when the guy dropped it off. That must have...

Wouldn’t want the tailpipe sticking out the bumper. This one has the std type turned down tailpipe, hidden (which I prefer)

    Exhaust woes (loud)

I think the harmonics are just so offensive made worse by the ‘uprated’ engine and box mounts. It’s almost like a frequency of a big sub vibrating bass and it goes right through your head, I could never drive it any distance. It’s not just the volume it’s the type of noise and vibration at...

This may be my next move which is why I was pondering the effect of a resonated Ktec system very mine ie would having one welded in even hell. Will visit my local place and see what’s the largest box they can fit.

    Exhaust woes (loud)

I would mate but she’s done all my shopping for me so gotta deliver that (which she’ll be pleased about too as she won’t be able to park near my house as I’ve littered the area with imprezas and Clios now). I’ll wait til she’s on top before I pull her hair & tell her she paid for the latest...

    Exhaust woes (loud)

Oh god, I didn’t think about that. It made me appreciate my std car even more. Only reason I wanted another was because my std car is so original and felt guilty about tracking it and thinking about mods to make it ‘better’. So I find one with some mods and think it can be stripped out and a...
