Had wondered the same Steve, has a spacer/shim welded on the o/s rear mounting point doesnt it?
Remember you'd posted about the longer uniball carriers a while back - did you notice the pickups on the s/frame are further inboard on evo00 aswell?
Would the evo01 s/frame & rear box mount fit the...
Ran the tilton lever bias on mine - worked well. Just need to block off one of the rear ports on your cup MC with a blanking plug. One of the Sykes pickavant type flaring tools would make the job a lot easier if you can manage to borrow one.
Yep, as Stu says smaller contact patch compared to what most people run but whatever youre happy with. Just wanted to point it out as it seemed to have been missed from the details in the advert.
Pretty sure the clio mk2 non sport 15" rims are only 6" wide for example. :)
Don't think the 'off the shelf' 2118 aren't 8kg either - from memory mine in ET43 were 9.4kg on the balance at work. Imagine ET38 would be a smidge heavier given the additional material.
The earlier cup spec 2118s are 7.2kg, pretty sure the later ones are the same aswell.
Hey Sam, good to catch up again! Car seemed to be going really well - where did you finish up?
Looked so slippery in the morning, seemed a fair bit of standing water! What you planning on adjusting to tame it a little in the wet?
Got a couple of pictures of the clio early on in between...
Looking forward to the 2015 CPOP, didnt get to go this year. The RAOC usually have a stand there too dont they?
Should just arrange something through the v6 owners club Ash - maybe they won't all be busy with RWS.
Seems to go pretty well on them Mark. Know a few people including @EVOgone have had them refurbished so would at least give you the option to stick with what you know. If it ain't broke...
They did a few different rear inserts too - silver, black and lastly yellow that came with a matched...
Great footage Mark, seemed a quick run at Debden! Are you still running the Cup Bilstein dampers or have you switched to something else?
Was the Steve Waudby who ran that mk1 Cup car the same guy over at SWR?
Ph1 cars running the early box are shorter - can't remember how much by. Distance on the Ph2 from centre point of bearing carrier to the nearest bolt hole is 71mm. Will have a look at the ph1 later and post up.
