Car was 10k, we don't actually know what the issue is yet. Until the gearbox is split apart it could be something as simple as a shim or a bearing or it could be the diff is worn. Of course there is a risk that once it's apart nothing is wrong, but given the test drives and comparisons to other...
One question, if Ktec aren't going to repair the car could i use the warranty to help towards costs? I did get the paperwork through the other day, interestingly the check box that says "The vehicle is as described and free from defects" is yes and the box "Are there any concerns with the...
Tbh it looks like there are only two cables that won't plug into anything anyways so it should be fine :)
Thanks, hopefully i can get it plugged in and tested this week.
I did think that initially but the amount of pins in the connector don't match, seemed like that was the way to go, but looking at it, the amp wouldn't have any power going to it otherwise.
As Dan said, the car is really good apart from the diff issue and I would like to keep it.
Don't mean to seem dense, but without taking it to the car I'm struggling to piece it together.
If the red one plugs into the stereo and the blue one connects to the car loom that used to go into the...
I sent an official email a couple weeks ago stating I wanted a repair over a refund and never heard anything back. Car will be dropped off at the weekend to another garage and the gearbox will be pulled and then I guess I will take the risk and go through the courts to reclaim it.
I purchased the amp, the wiring loom and i have looked at the guide. I haven't been out to the car yet, but I'm not sure on how it all connects together. I know one end of the wiring goes into the stereo and then the other goes into the car loom, but then how does the amp connect up? Tagging...
So when you first posted you said "any advise on matte finish on a clio?"
What advice do you want? How to clean it? How to repair damage? What colour is more desirable?
Buy a normal 200, it's cheaper and easier to look after.
Having completed it yesterday I must say I am disappointed. The Witcher 3 was a much better game. I didn't do that many of the side quests, just got on with it. Apart from the looks (on a decent PC) the world felt quite empty alot of the time, not many people or cars. Sooo many bugs and glitches...
If you want to join bath water gang then I'm using some Corsair Vengeance 3600Mhz. If you don't fancy a drink, the Team Group stuff on Overclockers would of been my choice.
The car was sold with the issue so regardless of the warranty its Ktec's responsibility to sort it out under consumer law.
The car was sold with a warranty yes, but I don't think they have activated it yet as I have been told multiple times I will get my paperwork in a couple of days and never...
No I do not, I think the last good one I had was my Accord estate which I even sold for a bit of profit. I try so hard and do so much research when buying a car, but end up which such bad luck. Apart from this gearbox/diff issue the car seems to be good.
Yer a Zero Point or CAE is amazing but it's also extremely expensive and you may have to cut the trim around the gear surround. Would be a nice luxury item maybe in the future.
Im enjoying it, but would like to get the gearbox sorted so I can find out what it's capable of.
Always planned it to be, have a few more Christmas bits to fit in the coming weeks.
Already know there is an issue, waiting to hear back from Ktec. If they don't repair, I'll book it in to get the box off and inspected and find out what the issue is.
Yes, but it was deadlocked previously so keyless doesnt work and yes I know once it's started you can remove the key, but saves it rattling around scratching trim. Only use keyless if I'm popping in and out somewhere.
