Back in 93 in a 1988 Astra 1.3, 100mph 5 up on the M1 from Alton Towers and the front left let go (I was a rear passenger).
Driver held it well because it tried it's hardest to get out of shape! Brakes and Tyres have to be the most important safety feature on a car.
Impact driver ftw.
On other cars though, before I have drilled off the head, took off the disc and then gripped the stump left and unscrewed. Replaced the bolts and all is sussed.
Lad before me did it, the GTi-6 let go, he bought the whole car for what he sold the 6-speed box for! So threw a 5-speed 405 XUD in, Bosch pump and tweaked tubby.
Sounds like it's good days are over though :(
Oh hell!!! 10/10 for rally committed air-born carnage though!
Keep the photos for the grandkids and tell them you were a stunt driver doing for a film :)
This is hard...
SNES for Mario Kart and Pilot Wings...
PS1 for Destruction Derby 2.
Specturm for killing Kempston Joysticks thanks to Daley Thompsons Athletics.
I like both the BL Mini, Austin Mini, Rover Mini and the BMW Mini. If Rover had bosses that knew wtf they were doing, Mini may not even be around today.
Roadster and Cabriolet are too OK in my books. As was the Mini Era and convertible.
