Anyone else get clobbered by the AWS authentication outage this morning? Knocked out our automated monitoring for every customer in North America, so that was a fun 90 minutes until they got it working again 😂
I’ll be selling my G920 soon if that’s any use.
It’s very well reviewed, TBH given Fanatec’s current woes the Moza seems like the way to go for me, at least if buying new.
DP is fully digital, so you shouldn’t lose any quality by using a switch box.
I’d just pick up something well reviewed from Amazon, they’re cheaper on AliExpress but much easier to do an Amazon return if needed.
Just ordered the new Moza R3 kit for the XBox. Proper direct drive unit, although only 4nm peak torque.
Added the brake pedal upgrade too, not a load cell unit but should still be a step up from what I’ve got now.

It’s standard stuff, as part your insurance contract you agree to assist them with litigation.
Technically it’s you who are having legal action taken against you by the third party insurers, so that‘s not a disclaimer but is authorising your ex-insurers to act for you in defending or settling...
Is it just the time delay that’s worrying you? Pretty standard to be asked to give a witness statement if the third party insurer has gone legal on it.
What’s sketchy looking about the disclaimer?
Single best thing I’ve added to my rig recently was digging an old portable air conditioner out of a cupboard 😂
It’s in a small room that gets sun almost all day, and a 42” OLED plus the Xbox chucks out a s**t-ton of heat.
Still uhming and ahhing over what wheel upgrade to go for. I’m not...
Oh look - if your share price shoots up because you talk about a thing, but don't actually make money doing a thing, then sooner or later the bubble bursts. Who knew.

Starlink is a good shout, if expensive.
I've been using this for my home internet connection for the last year, can't fault it, 4k streaming, work meetings, all good. Way faster than the poxy fixed line broadband I can get here. I do have a strong 4G signal with EE though. It takes an external...
I saw this over in the funny pictures thread and it got me thinking
So, I’m a 30 year time served veteran in customer support/success, my job title is architect, I work in financial reconciliation with some of the biggest banks and institutions in the world. I have never, ever done an IT...
At our place we couldn't sell our cloud SaaS solution for years, almost everyone wanted on-prem. Suddenly it was like someone threw a switch and now all we can sell is SaaS.
Same product, same solution, we've gone from six cloud customers two years ago to over twenty. It is literally just that...
Cloud is amazing, with the right use case. You want to scale on a whim, with workload, and might have to deal with some massive peaks from time to time? f**king excellent, fill your boots.
Just dumping a VM from an in-house server to a cloud server, "because cloud" and you want to fire your IT...
Many people at Crowdstrike got that creeping ice water down the spine sensation really badly last night as the true horror of the issue dawned.
Can you imagine the shitstorm!
You are absolutely right, and there’s nothing racist about it IMO. Some contractors from India who I’ve worked with in the past have been absolutely top notch, the equal of anyone. People pulled in to do lower end jobs can often have that awful culture of dishonesty through omission and never...
I’m hoping for the best, but planning for the worst. If they come out and say they will be offshoring shared functions and first/second line support over time then I would respect that.
If they don’t say that, then they’re most likely liars and I’m going to take my time to find something else...
We have just been bought by a big private equity firm who have their own dedicated offshore unit in India.
As expected it’s all very “don’t spook the staff” at the moment but big cuts are inevitable, it’s what I’d do in their shoes. Will be surprised if I still have a job in 12 months, but meh...
Pretty clean MoT history too. Price is probably too low, automatically makes me suspicious it's a turd, but if it was local it would absolutely be worth a look.
