How loud is the knock? Could be exhaust hitting somewhere, could be the pads in the caliper, check the top mounts are tight and not shagged :)

The engine cover should be a graphite colour, It will look good and not too over the top. Will look good what ever colours you choose as long as its done properly!

what time will everyone be down there until, may be able to make it down a little later.

we use a windscreen removal tool...which is 2 handles a piece of wire (saw back and forth)... when the wire heats up it cuts the bond. Then tiger seal (silicone) it back in... But thats what we do with the race cars :) (havent even looked at how the standard screen is held in mind :rasp:

could be fuel pump not maintaining preassure.

Try a leak down test if possible as well, that should also give you a good indication of your engines health :)

Mines a 57 plate and its got the closer ratio box in it. Think mine was right on the change over point.

That spiller is off a mk 1 (i think) megane. Towing eye can be bought on here off a guy with the username Si, he makes them....about 25 quid.

Mate, there is a track day at anglesey on the 15th. (this sat) highly recommend you drive it before the race. We are taking the 197 road car up on a friday night, so at least jon (who has never been round) will know it before the race in 2 weeks time. 195quid open pit lane ( i think). Thats...

The best modification you can do, is not be tight and become a paid member :) Lots of info on here.

Its the same guy who has built all of my race engines. s**t hot. Has just been asked by a company up north who race historic formula 1 cars. The same company who own, cituning, prima racing and all that. Recommend him.
