I use various sites like clubmsv, easytrack, javelin and trackdays.co.uk, there are a fair few more but listing them will take all night, lol. I tend to find the best deal through the track days section on here though.

I agree with your points completely and for a meet, Curborough is probably the best option for a meet, but not a track day. I would go if one was organised as i think it would be a laugh.
I think maybe a trackday at blyton park would be better, or maybe donnington (expensive). I have never done a sprint track like curborough but I can't imagine it being as satisfying as constantly doing laps and achieving a sense of rhythm, but obviously price and location is a major factor in...
I use my Thrustmaster racing wheel, it has enough buttons for pretty much every control. The game will work with any wheel it will just need the keys binding.
Yeah the engine moves, it looks like it has been trying to jump out of the top mount, all the mounts look like they are in good condition which is a bit odd. the juddering is really more of a knocking sound and it is probably manifold into the subframe.
My car seems to have developed a judder under hard acceleration once the revs pass 5k.
