Went to Jessops today to make the purchase... the guy behind the counter tried advising me to buy the D60! Have to admit, the build of the D60 seems very tough!!! Arghhh, stuck in limbo again and can't decide!

Excellent advice and much appreciated! I went in today to get the 450D in the end...OUT OF STOCK. When to another store, they had one, BUT it looked like someone had kicked the box in! Will do an online search and find someone who has it in stock so I can go get it. On the positive side...

Sound advice! Do you think the 450D price will fall when the 500D comes out? How much do you think the 500D will retail at? edit: just checked amazon etc and it seems the 500D will launch at about £869! Way over my budget!
