51miles. I questioned it with someone quite high up within Renault, apparently all the sport models now go through quite a regarous (sp) road test before delivery. I was old to expect anhing between 25-60 miles on a V6 255.
James if (or should that be when;)) you buy a new V6 255, it will come...
Oh, and to answer the question. Ive owned both, Mk1 and Mk2, and the Mk2 is the better car but, IMHO, there was something about the Mk1 that made it a more "entertaining" drive.
911 would be second hand, i no some people think its stupid, but i would want another new car

Cheers peeps, and cheers for the thoughts on the late great vees successor...

Well for this topic, Mr McPot, that statement is fair enough, but in the bigger picture there is only one CLIO that surpases all of your meaningless 172s/182s/cups/wlliams/valvers/127s etc....
Ill put my V6 Mk2 on a 1/4 mile, up against any of your stamdard clios anyday, infact bring it...
Ive had a Mk1 and a Mk2. This IMHO is unique to the Mk1, my Mk2 never made these noises, but the gearbox had been altered on the Mk2 so maybe thats why. But yes the Mk1 vee i owned was as described in your post above.
