I had a flame spitting, throttle bodied MI16 engined 205 that could not pass the MOT without having a laptop plugged in for the emissions test.
I got got pulled by VOSA at South Mimms. They checked the car but at no point looked at the exhaust or the emissions as it would have failed miserably.
I've just finished this. The easy way to get them on is probably the second best way to get them off, I used a garage in the end to get it off.
I clamped the new nuts on the bolt with a set of molegrips and then locked them in place with another set of grips on the ARB. I then used a 1/4" 10mm...
Took it to a pro, he admitted he didn't want the job.
Went to pro 2, he said to come back at 4, waited around and he got the gas our and burned out the nut. Should've done that at the start!
I'm thinking that if I do up the other bolt fully, then it may release the tension/pressure on this one and become easier to get out? Perhaps I'm going about this the wrong way.
I'm well and truly stuck trying to change the gasket. Looking from the front, the left stud refuses to budge.
Ive managed to muller the nut, none of my mole grips can get a good grip and I've just bought a dremel and the cutting disc is too wide.
What is the secret?
It's a good idea, I've struggled since March to fix my car as its a b**ch working under it so its hidden in the garage forgotten about.
Trouble is if the person is paying as soon as someone gets injured they are going to sue you so you've got to be insured correctly.
Do you have link to this case law? Rejecting a car isn't as simple as OMG it broke down, I don't want it, especially when you've had it repaired by a third party.
Now with 15s, RSRs, new top mounts and poly dog bone.
half way through the cat gasket, one bolt refuses to budge :(
And Jake did jump into that puddle!
I was going to use Mint Alloys in Silsoe, but had heard good things about BJV years ago but believed they had closed as their website refers to 2011 pricing. Tempted to save the £80 and go for BJV
