Yes they basically just up the fuel pressure on a common rail diesel. Although its easy to keep them under a safe amount.
I have had a tuning box on my Dci for 50k since new and never had an issue. Massive difference too, its awful when i have to take it off for service etc.
Thats just bullshit mate. If its an out and out track car with constant high temps they yeah, it may be needed. On a road car it will do more harm than good.
Your engine can run too cold.
