Hmm that seems alright. Need a genuine disc to check the depth at which the bearing sits. Guessing there's no play in it?
  2. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

Bearing does look further inside there... Could just be the angle. But I can see what looks like a circlip that's not in place properly 🧐 Can you move the bearing at all?

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

Not sure how it didn't make the grinding noise from the start 🤔 If it's contacting now but wasn't when fitted then it can only be that the bearing has moved or failed inside surely?
  4. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

Would be handy if you had the old discs to test 😏
  5. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

Looks about the same as a genuine disc tbh.
  6. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

Yeah and that's with the spacer the correct way round?
  7. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

Other way round. Bolts do look to stick out a bit further than normal.

    Lugs underneath the back seat?

This Would be weird for water to get up that high to where the rear beam mounting brackets are.

That's what I thought Jon. Just have to see what's gone on when he's stripped it apart.
  11. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

I don't think the bolts go through that far, certainly not enough to hit the back of the disc.
  12. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

    Yeah that's them
  13. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

KAM Racing sell them. Don't really need replacing unless they're damaged.
  14. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

Won't be that then if the spacer is there. Strip it all off and see what marks it's left where.
  15. Mr Trailer Man

    leeRS Clio Sport 172 ph2

Did you have the spacers behind the discs mate?

New clutch kit fitted, idle knocking

@NorthloopCup what do you reckon? I've never heard a box rattle like that.

New clutch kit fitted, idle knocking

That's not the gearbox. Clutch or release bearing.

Yeah they do skip around there to be fair.

    Yet another rear seat thread….

Get a nut welded on it. The threads on them are exposed underneath the car and will be rusted up. The heat from welding will help too. Will just need to stick a fire blanket over the seats to protect them.

Rain sensor 182- can someone confirm…..?

Yeah mine was noted years ago but never seemed to affect the price. Probably changed now like you say.

Rain sensor 182- can someone confirm…..?

If you have windscreen cover you could look at accidentally cracking it 😅

Cambelt tensioning with keyed Crankshaft Pulley Clio 182

As Brigsy said, turn by the crank. When you say 12 o'clock position, there's no 'fixed' position it should end up. However they mostly tend to sit around the 2 o'clock position. You want to go off the marks on the tensioner, don't get fixated on where the tab ends up.

After turning the engine over, re-adjust the tensioner. How many times did you turn it over?

New mid torque would do it, could buy body only and then get a charger and a 5ah battery separately total of £265. https://www.powertoolmate.co.uk/kit-builder/milwaukee-18v/milwaukee-18v-impact-wrenches/milwaukee-m18fmtiw2f12-0-18v-fuel-gen2-mid-torque-1-2-impact-wrench-with-frictio.htm...
