I was in Sevenoaks, Kent, but now live in Laindon, Essex :)
With a steady motorway run I would expect to see 37-40mpg ish. I used to see 42mpg easy on my motorway runs.
The lights do swap straight over but the wires need changing over - there is a guide on here but you'll need to pay your membership fee!
The ph1 sports had the dual optic lamps - might find someone breaking one.
Could be a caliper sticking causing more wear than necessary, do as dannycivic says and jack the rear up and spin the wheels ( without the handbrake on obviously)!
The practice run was quite fun too! I went up Ditchling Beacon alternating between 1st and 2nd gear as the auto box in Bacon couldnt decide what it wanted!
The queue round Maccy D's drive thru at 7am was pretty epic too!!
Might have been 4k when u bought it but I doubt its worth much more than 2.5k now. As gally says, parts are nearly 1k from Renault plus a few hundred for paint etc.
2nd hand parts will still cost a few hundred I'd imagine. If its bent the subframe or anything else you're talking more money!
Is that over by Bow? If so, yup that would've been me!! haha!
Next week I'll more than likely be in a traffic (read vauxhall variant) Van. Skittles (the other driver on my route) wants "his" van back... Not that I've been taking "his" van on puropse or nothing....
FYI he's a FAT...
Its a performance mods shop on the A12 at Ilford. http://www.burtonpower.com/
They used to be our supplier at my old work, and yes, now I work for them!
Interesting... how? lol
To get to Burtons coming from Green Lane.
Yup! Either the berlingo or traffic vans.
Sure is, twas where I was heading when I saw you. The vans are not exactly difficult to miss tbh... Subtle, they aren't!
Igniter is the bit on the back of the lamp. The ballast is screwed to the underside of the headlamp unit - it's easier to take the bumper off and remove the headlamp to get to the ballast pack.
I'd try swapping the ballast and igniter's over to see if it does it the other side, if so you know its not the lamp.
If it's the lamp dying get a new pair www.hids-direct.co.uk D2s's are the ones you want 4300k is the most OEM look.
