Get a long bit of mdf or chipboard. cut it down to size to fit the boot space etc and chuck some acoustic carpet on top with some spray adhesive ! job done :)
Had the same problem with my car a while back, just cleaned the spade connector on the starter motor and its been fine ever since :/ but mines only a 1.2...
Same thing happens to my car, cleaned the spade terminal that connects to the starter motor, if so, replace the starter motor, check the spark plugs and coil pack/ht leads.. Done the following and its worked fine, check the battery aswell!
No years no claims, i planned ahead and said i have been driving for 3 months, January i'd have the money saved if all is well, just done the odd lie to the insurance..
If i got a 172, i'd treasure the thing, but after jumping to one of those from a 1.2 id be a bit lead footed..
Dont know whether to take the safe option and keep my current car :dapprove:
Only just passed my test a month ago, have a 52 plate 1.2 clio extreme, insurance prices are around 4500 at the cheapest, been quoted 3250 for a 172 ? is it a wise idea going for it?
Haha was a proper laugh, felt like a wolly being in a 1.2 surrounded by a 172, 182 and the two new shape clio's though, defo up for the bluewater meet!
