I think I wouldn't buy a second hand one just because I don't believe in buying into old technology too much. The settings havent really changed much, you still got your basics (F Number, shutter speeds, white balance ISO etc etc etc) but the interfaces have been upgraded, better image sensors...
Got the D5100 kit for £620 from John Lewis. Loving it so far, the video quality in the day is bloody brilliant too! Definitely worth the dollar. If you don't want to spend as much, the D3100 is a good camera too.
I upgraded from my old Nikon D40 which is way down the scale compared to the new...
I get what you mean! It was difficult as those signs can probably be seen from space, so every time I tried to bring out a bit more light on the Z they would completely over expose. Should have done more from the angle like I did in shots 2 and 4 I think! Lighting has always been my weakpoint.
Just wish I could get a picture of what I saw last night on the Dually towards Oxford.
Astra Bertone Coupe, in Silver with lexus lights. Yeah thats bad enough. But on the back bumper in a HUGE blue decal it just said:
"HOLLA @ YO BOY"
It gets better, on the side it had a huge blue tear...
Tailpipes are on the piss because the exhaust scraped itself enough to brake a bracket. 17" wheels.
I know what you mean Turkish! Picture 2 is my fav due to the lighting on it. However, I kinda like the dark moodynesness of them a bit.
You've seen this car before I know. But this was me playing with my upgrade. Used to shoot everything with my D40 and a fixed 50mm lens, this was done with my new Nikon D5100 using the kit lens. Everything on manual, with a tripod. Just snapping and playing with the settings really!

My dad had one of these on test for a week or so, actually pretty nice. Why you wouldn't spec recaro's I have no idea! Still looks tidy as hell, bet you're pleased!
In the end he bought a faster diesel (Alfa 159 2.4). Ford was just too sensible, I think.
Looking at getting another Mk1 as a project. I am f**king insane. Nankangs aren't THAT bad, but they are ditchfinders. Continental or Falken usually do good sizes, but if its not the size you want then f**k the hate.
We use Wordpress for the blog (http://www.lowlifeuk.com/) and it is bloody brilliant. But personally for you, I think Tumblr would be perfect.
Mainly because it's easy and free. Yes, Wordpress itself is free but you need hosting etc and it does get complicated. It is worth it if you want to...
Okay, so I went to Jessops tonight. Fell in love with the D5100! Have it sitting next to me now, it's pretty impressive so far. Can't wait to get out there and take proper shots with it.

I've played with both briefly and I really can't choose that well.
If it helps, I'm changing as I want to do more video stuff for a laugh. As well as my usual stuff... http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasoneaston/
Looking at it though, it's about £100 more than I'd be paying for this canon. I'll pop into Jessops soon for a play but I wouldnt consider myself an expert.
Basically, at the moment I have a Nikon D40. The kit lens has broke, and I have a fixed 50mm and a 55-200mm lens for it.
A friend of mine has offered me his Canon 550D for a good price, with kit lens and 50mm fixed. Thing is, I have these nikon lens' and it'd be a shame to not use them? I know...
Saw this on S/W
Literally want that more than my next breath. That is, the coolest thing! It's cool because it was a s**t car, now look how awesome it is!
