I've been doing trackdays 12 years... Basic car maintenance, hardly any modifications and normal road tyres most of the time. I've hardly had any issues at all, ever. Just make sure your car is mechanically sound and that your tyres and brakes aren't on their last legs and you're good to go...

I've driven my mates 306bhp Mk3 and it's pretty wild! Can't see it being too reliable though.

I rarely see anyone drive like I do, but Elliot does so fair play to that guy.

I use that building for hiding... About half way up there's a roof you can land on where you can walk into the building by generators etc. Is that where you mean? ...Or is it a glitch?

I like the Nightshark too, but if I've got a passenger I choose the Insurgent Pickup Custom. That thing is deadly, especially with land mines.
