Imagine being a B&B owner for this, kind of expecting to be booked up because of the season and bank holiday, but not expecting heavy bookings because Anglesey isn't posting any major events.
Then suddenly you're overrun by a load of middle age blokes in superdry hoodies and Merrells all...
CS - "Oooooh it'd better have camping, we need camping, camping is what makes it....."
CS Admins - "Well we need camping then, it rules out loads of places but we'll sort it.....
......and here you are, track, pub, cafe, CAMPING!"
CS - "Ooooft, not with my back, I need a shower, will there be...
Well following the encouraging words of wisdom in here. I've booked a room close by for the weekend. I'll gaze at you all from afar too scared to venture in to the pool of people I've gently mocked for years.
Thanks @sn00p, I'll keep an eye out for second hand stuff going forward and see what comes up.
I went on a spree a few years ago and bought all the current stuff like Arduino, raspberri pi and all sorts of controllers and components but never used them. As silly as it sounds basic power supply...
Thanks Rob,
Are Tenma a decent brand of them? Birthday is Sunday so I'd say we're limited to either Amazon, Farnell or RS at the minute.
Thinking the little bench top is best for now, I have a decent area for it which will be my workspace so doesn't need to be portable.
There are so many...
Gents,
I used to love playing with some circuits and learning electronics when younger so want to pick it up again.
What's a decent desktop power supply for it? Around the £100 mark so nothing too fancy.
It's a birthday present so can't really ask for much over this, and already have most of...
As above, the Vodafone service will be by Cityfibre no doubt, I had it in the last house and it was spot on.
f**k off the routers own WiFi, build your own mesh network and control your SSiD's. That way when you change providers you just plug in and it all still works and everything still connects.
Just thought I'd flag it, thanks for the heads up on smarty though. Just ordered the 4gb SIM for the gate controller, unlimited minutes and texts means I'll no longer be charged every time a takeaway man comes to the house 🤣
Newest addition to the garage. I wanted a new saw and things just escalated. Sealey SM354CE.
Had a look at a few makes and models but settled on this one, I like sealey as an importer as they stock all the spare parts so any repairs or replacements are fairly straightforward. I also don't...
I'm with cityfibre in Leeds which is FTTP too. 900mb for £30 a month.
Sky have just called me due to the "current financial crisis" to see if they could reduce my bills on my broadband.
They couldn't get close on the broadband so tried to upsell me TV. My reply of "ooooft, sky? Not given the...
Definitely a cheap shitter.
On the one have he can make it his own and not be bothered about cleaning it before handing it back and as said it's a right of passage.
Also insurance is high for a reason, he'll bump it at some point, even if just into a car park post somewhere.
I'm with the turdburgler on this. I got a couple of Screwfix kneeling mats free on a deal years ago and they're brilliant. You can lean for something or roll on your knees without them dislodging or falling off them.
How many bolts you got?
I have a mix of Stanley fatmax and raaco boxes. They're both decent.
I also have a couple of these that are decent for the money Clicky
Or get a s**t load of the open bins but they'll get covered in dust.
No problem, unlike the red army I'm not particularly moody when someone buys a different brand and won't go on slating your mum and sister 🤣.
I actually think for mechanical works Milwaukee is a better brand with better tools. The impact wrenches and ratchets look brilliant for their use and...
As @Yorkshire Pudding says, I'm well invested in makita as a prosumer I think the term is. I have pretty much one of everything they offer across the 18v lxt tool and garden range and some plug in stuff.
I sense you've already bought Milwaukee, which I've never used myself. Seen a few people...
f**king savage, but Dan does have a point. I spend more time grinding than welding!
They were about £250 for both sets. Definitely not cheap but I'm a sucker for nice things.
