That is a good point actually Mark! Mmm where is there a bottom pipe?
Somebody :headno: decided to weld a roll cage over it so it can't be removed without dropping the tank lol!
Sounds like a good idea! Stop making me jealous haha, I was saying earlier I would of probably done one in mine if the engine hadn't gone! Was nice just to drive the car and not have to touch the tools
Ohh dear Ian sorry to hear that! At least its guaranteed ;)
Hope you get sorted quickly with it and can't wait to see how it goes with the new engine in
Does anyone one know which pins on the fuel pump are + and - as there are 4 and I don't want to put 12v through the sensor for obvious reasons
I need to drain the tank as it's nearly full and need to then drop the tank before rolling the car to work on the underside
Thanks
Car is now in bits
I managed to get the rest of the engine apart and have now found the complete ARP that had come out of the knackered rod and the one that has sheared in two from the other side of that rod. The piston has then obviously gone upto the top of the bore and smacked the head as...
Mine leaked from the join between the two separate parts of the box after it had been refurbed so it was sent back and is now spot on so you might have the same problem. Could be the oil spread though, the whole underside of my car is covered in oil and the engine only lost less than 1 litre...
Cars looking great Pete :) Where is the box leaking from just the selector? I was thinking of you the other night when I dropped one of the doors on my foot and I see what you mean about them being very heavy!
Good to hear you got the callipers sorted, I need to sort my callipers all round but...
Haha yes I can imagine that lol ;)
With mine I *think* it and the ecu have been wired incorrectly so not an issue with the unit but I will know later this week when I strip it out! Its a good bit of kit to be fair, the only 1 negative I would say is that if the battery is even slightly flat it...
Haha closing the door and the ignition going on sounds like a great feature to be fair ;)
Sorry yeah I didn't think it could be but my Armtech cut off does weird things to my ECU and data logger so just thought i'd check!
Sounds good, very jealous! I don't even have an engine at the moment lol
Wow that is very kind thank you mate, but I would obviously give you something for it :)
Yes it is certainly a very possible option and is certainly the job on the bottom of the pile for spending money on at the moment!
That is such a generous offer thanks :) I should be okay until the house...
Yes crazy isn't it mate :(
Very kind of you say thank you :o
Yes I fully agree with you about everything there (Apart from the abroad bit ;)) Already made some decisions and won't be racing again until i'm fully sorted, hopefully this will be by next season but will just see what happens...
I think sprayshack will be putting some photos on here tomorrow :)
No point other than a safe connection
Wanting to run AN fittings throughout for piece of mind rather than push and jubilee clips and obviously can't get 5/16's in AN fittings :(
Do you think I should sack off the AN fittings...
Thanks Mike :) Yes it should all come together nicely especially next week when some more bits come back from the powdercoaters! Haha yes I am a big tart and will do my best of keeping it looking mint lol!
Yes I think that is just a shade under 8mm so is probably the perfect size! If I can't...
Haha lol :rasp:! I didn't have any input on the design and only saw it for the first time today, Really happy with it and can't wait to see it on the car :)
Oooo the hose i'm going with has an I.D of 8.7mm I wonder if I will get away with it?!
Thanks mate I have seen too many fuel fires before to scrimp and save on this bit of the re-build
When did you order it Mark? I spoke to heatedwindreens.com (Ricky Evans motorsport) at the beginning of October and they said they wouldn't have any until the 6th January :(
Little blower heater could be used even though I know you won't like the aesthetics ;)...
Yes that's the one thanks :)
Yes they are unfortunately push and jubilee clip jobs aren't they! I was just wanting to make sure the -6 hose will fit onto it and then jubilee clip it to the cradle as I've seen other do before
No worries Chip thanks for your help!
Was just looking to see if anyone knows the size of outlet where the fuel tank goes into the fuel hose? A pic would be awesome if you can but no worries if not Mike :) Thanks
