Yes Dave I certainly had no intension of overspending so much and the last few months of pretty much re-doing the whole car really hasn't helped lol! Unfortunately there isn't the money to smash into it, I have still got to work out some way to get enough money to get the car sorted for next...
Lighter.. the damn thing is empty lol! Spent 7 times what I budgeted haha! Still as I say great fun year and can't wait for more racing :) Yes I will keep my fingers crossed for that ;)
Thanks mate will just have to see what happens :(
That's the problem now but as always will do my best and see what I can do
Haha yes its not been plain sailing ;)
Haha thanks it's all your fault anyway that I even did all this to my car lol! I bought a standard clio to use on track days...
No mate Chip is saying plugs out as then there is very little resistance for the starter to spin the crank up due to no compression, unplugging the coil pack will just not start the engine
Edit: beaten to it
I can't remember the details and don't want to give you false information but on the variables table you can go to sensor coefficients or something like that and vary the resistance depending on the type of sensor been used. I have read it in the manual and think it was fairly near the back so...
Yes it is an RS232 Y cable :)
Haha yes I had clocked it in the photo you sent the other day ;) Looks great, look forward to seeing the car! You heard about the new race series that our cars are eligible for? I don't think it is CSCC from what i've heard though
It looks great and I would love to have a go but I wouldn't be able to do it without guidance throughout lol. Very impressive skill mate :)
Ah okay just wondered due to number of inputs you can have on the ECU
I don't know to be fair mate but I have to presume it does as I say the sensor is...
Yes I would just run up a couple of gauges like Phils then :) Bloody NOS lol
Very nice mate that looks great :) I want your loom! You do know that even if you wire a sensor into the dash on the 4 inputs it will still send it though to the logger and record the data. I was surprised but my oil...
Sorry mate you are right I think, I couldn't decide between 31 and 29 but then had a feeling 31 was a power although this is all of my head so you will be correct :) How will you get the info from the ECU though? Do you run aftermarket dash?
Having a change of direction and got a degree in construction property management so looking down that avenue at the moment but the market is still tough and trying not to move out of the area but will see what happens :)
Haha ;)
Doing work for me at the moment is sat at my desk scouring the internet/phonecalls job hunting so this is a nice break lol! Come 6 o'clock I will give up and go start work on the car :)
Yes sorry the EC1 does have the interface but mine still has quite a few wires into conn2 on the dash 2 for warning lights etc I think
The problem with the EC1 is if you run either Pit lane speed limiter or Launch control then there aren't enough inputs to run temp/pressure sensors too so have...
Haha yes I know lol!
Yes mate its not difficult, I have got to get all new connectors for mine but was reading up on it the other day and basically one connector goes to the ECU and the other for various inputs but looks easy enough :)
Oh yes mate it does bother me but not much I can do so don't want to sit here and slate TDF unless 100% it wasn't correct its just not the way I am. Don't want false information out there.
Until a few weeks ago I always presumed it had a pressure warning light and the oil temp sensor I paid for...
Sorry yes mate I meant for me to tighten them to see if they kept turning before clicking
Cool I will give that a try tonight when I get in the garage :)
Yeah I can't see how else they aren't there but not much I can do
Nice one I will go play tonight :) Not a clue what a stretch gauge is lol
Yeah exactly mate! The only reason i'm taking it apart is to actually learn how the engine is put together rather than my previous knowledge which is turn the key and drive it lol
Wow I wasn't expecting to have half an hours reading just from the last 12 hours lol!
I can't say if they were fitted correctly, I have had other bolts come loose and the sump bolts I took off the other night were mega tight but who knows and I can't blame TDF for the engine unless I know for...
No worries mate will drop you another email with them but will be late tonight before I can sort i'm afraid
Yes i'm really glad as it opens up my options :) I changed my mind last night while chatting it over with a mate and think I will keep them. Money is tight and all the small jobs for...
No worries mate :) I hate wiring so i hope you get sorted its a horrible job!
No garage must be tough and I thought no ramp was bad enough lol!
Yes mate all out coming out :)
Rod is pretty bent to be fair but yes still attached to the piston :) Nope no sign of the bolts anywhere :S its asthough they have come loose as there is marking that something has been repeatedly hitting the bottom of the engine
I think Mark will have changed his brackets but I could be wrong! I have got a set of Volvo ones to fit which don't cause an obstruction for the bigger rad
