thats what !might! of killed it the repeated starts (i imagine a starter motor pulls a fair amount of current) casing some metal fatige in the fuse wire
yeah well but that time it might be too late;)
unless of course what you was running was pulling more than 100A (about the lowest amount to "blow" an 80A )@ normal running load
lol there's many factors to take into account when selecting the correct fuse
but yeah they should do the trick.
but do you know when the 80A fuse "blew"? was it when you started the car?
lol the use of HID is wrong to desribe any lamp that has a filament
HID stands for High Intensety Discharge
and xenon is an inert gas that is used in Metal Hallide lamps(hid) and can be partly used in tugsten filament lamps instead of just halogen
