sounds good, i am doing a CCNA then a cisco telephony bit, then CCNP and Certified ethical hacker, i reckon the MS stuff would be very useful with networking but i don't think i do any :(. really does sound like a good course, which uni is that then??

quite often vista drivers will work on windows 7, you may have to trick them into thinking your running vista, Xp is ok but if your doing it for compatibility reasons get windows 7 pro as you can run xp programs in a xp virtual machine type environment

if you do this you will have to reinstall all of your programs again which can be a pain, just to warn you slightly complicated but what would be best is for you to restore your laptop, install your programs, then clone the hard drive then everytime it goes slow you can restore the image(clone)...
