Think they've been pretty fair tbh! I had a set dont gloss black on my 197 and was very happy tbh. They could have said nothing and charged full price?
They look better with the black handles/bump strips, kinda brakes it up somewhat. I was having a nose around a 197 Cup in Nimbus with black speedlines, it worked well on that!
Silver door handles means it has keyless
You could source some bump strips from a breakers as all MK3's are the same.... i had mine detextured as i hated the finish on mine, smooth ftw!
Out of the Mk2 range the only other one i'd have is a Trophy. I'm on my second Cup now, having one in 2004. Had that for 3 years i then when to a 182, but somehow it just never hit the spot.? Xenons on MK2's are proper overrated also, so thats no biggie. I actually thought the halogens with some...
ish, if its pretty cold, get someone to stick their hand over the tailpipe on idle, it can make the leak more obvious. Is it the standard system? If so look for the join at the rear box, or around the centre section, very common weak points!

Get a mint 172 for that, low miles, belts done etc!
Most 4k 182's will be either high mileage, no belts done, or rougher than Daniels arse after a night on the curry ;)
I love them, however they are not the night and day difference over the 197 people will have you believe (had a 197 for 18 months and drove a 200). Whats up with the 172, UCH?
