Haha. Best idea is to only jack up one side. So when you check it for play, theres resistance on the other wheel stopping you from turning the whole rack lol ;)
Best way is to let the guys on here listen to the sound.
The only real way to test it is to check it for play which is only possible with the cambelt off.
I'll have a look when I get home. But full lock or driving straight had no effect on mine. It done it all the time.
Best way is to stick the handbrake on put it in reverse and bring up the clutch to the bite. If you get a thud it could be that. Try it in first and reverse a few times.
01254 238163 is the number of the place. Think they specialise in renaults.
The guy we spoke to was Kieran. Don't know what the parts called but just explain it hell know exactly what you mean.
But I'd check your local dealer first as I'm sure they just send you a genuine part from Renault...
No need to press it on. You just bash the new one on.
I think Harry had an easier job than me I had to use a sledge hammer to remove my driveshaft from the hub and to remove the sleeve from the other end.
I think the part is available from Renault or I could give you the number of the place...
Saw you heading towards Bognor from littlehampton way. Past you in other direction in my 182.
Still can't get over how loud your rs192 is compared to others I've heard.
Thanks lads got it off with Fred's method. Lol I actually used a sledge. Thread on the drive shaft looks a bit dodgy but I think the new nut will wind on.
