Something dodgy with my engine anyway I think, oil filler cap is full of mayo as is inside the cap, coolant has changed colour from green to orange and the mayo smells like fuel

I'm getting around 36 now I don't commute to town centre and traffic.

No mate I actually wasn't I was literally in start stop traffic drive at 10-15 mph in 1st/2nd gear for 30 secs then literally stuck on traffic for 4 miles think I got to work near enough fully on clutch movement and hills one day!

What mpg do you get I was getting around 28 from my 1.2 when doing short journeys

So in summary - when you put jump leads on - it starts, it started with a new battery too, however now it won't start again, turn over - click. Sound like starter motor/alternator?

I phoned Fred@BTM and told me to try jumping which I have and it's now working! Off to halfords to get a new battery, what do you recommend? For a 1.2
