Its always better to hit rust asap the longer you leave it the smaller the chance of a simple repair. Sand blast or at a minimum wire wheel the pitting. If you leave any corrosion it will come straight back.

The Gripper diff and the bump steer/role centre kit probably the slicks aswell have totally transformed the way it drives! The grip is unreal, if it did start under steering just give it some gas and the diff worked its magic and pulls you back into the corner.
