Hi, seen a car advertised locally to me. But its a phase 1 and the adverts says its a cup.. Is there such thing as a phase 1 172 cup? or is the advertiser clueless.

Took my head apart today to look for what i thought to be a failed tappet. But look what i found.. Pretty sure this is the cause of the tap i was receiving, the tap was coming from in the same are i located the tap down to use a mechnics stephascope. Anybody hear of this happening on an F4R...

Can anyone tell me if the Cup racer ECU (1*2 shape) is remappable. Ive hear they are not but ive looked at the manual for the ECU on the Magneti Marelli site and it say the MF4M ECU that my car has is mappable. Can anyone clear this up for me?

For the people that rally there Clio's, What sort of spring rates and geo do your run/recommend for tarmac rallying on your cars? I dont know what my spring rates are atm as its what came in the car but i know its far to hard on the front and to soft on the back. Im running 1.5 degree's neg...

Does anyone know if mk2 clio's came with bendix calipers aswell as lucas. ive just got delivery of the brakes for my sisters clio and it came with bloody bendix fitment pads. So im just trying to work out if ive be sent the wrong brakes or ordered the wrong ones. Cheers Mike.

Im replacing the clutch on my cup racer while the engine is out and i wondering if a lightened flywheel wheel would be of any real benifit, The standard flywheel doesnt seem to be very heavy anyway. Does anyone have a experiances of light flywheels on 172's? Do you loose alot of low down torque?

Does anyone know what the control fuel is they run in the clio cup? Im guessing its and ELF racing fuel from Atol, or do they just run pump fuel?

Probably going to need to swap the tappets out on my 172, Was wondering if anyone knows a good place to get them from before i go buy them form Renault. I doubt Renault make the tappets them selves, so if i can get them from the OE manufacturer for less then that would be great. Thanks Mike
