Re: My new car. TTQS
Lol milltek are cheap mate, £1200 is relatively low end for an exhaust system once you get out of French hatches,
take the m135i systems, milltek £750 cat back, supersprint £3200, eisenmann backbox only is £1400...
im saying for the price they are decent, and with custom...
Good video that, my fiancee is always saying you should mount the kerbs etc to let one past...I will make sure to show her this! Thankfully she knows all too well not to kerb my wheels!!!!!
Re: My new car. TTQS
Yeah I fitted it mate, there was a guide on the TT forum back in the day, just needed a bit of dremel action at either end and a couple of the middle supports and then self tapper it onto the bumper.
they really are brilliant cars, if I ever parted with the Vee I would be...
Re: My new car. TTQS
I don't find PP's that hard to get in and out of?? Hand on sill.. Lift yourself over and out! Try doing it with a Vee side skirt to step over too lol.
think you should keep silver wheels and fit a LCR splitter
Gutted to see you selling ed! But inevitably life gets in the way sometimes and I'm sure the new arrival will soon make you forget the Vee (for a while) best of luck with the sale mate, it's a beauty that one!
Very nice! Hell of a step up from a 118d to 125d! :)
what spec did you go for? I know what you mean about this shape not photographing very well, totally different in the flesh, I must say the eibach springs have helped mine alot, just took the worst of the arch gaps away without being stupid...
Normally I would say silver wheels and pods.. But with yours sitting on coilovers it kind of works with the lower height, I think a nice compromise would be anthracite pods and wheels
That is great! I do agree on the lower skirts down the sides I've never really liked them but the wheels and height look perfect and don't ruin it with spacers either IMO!
i can't work out if they are 17" or 18" I'm guessing 18" though??
Can I just say that the list price on a 118d M sport is almost £24k and you get fook all spec wise, tick a few boxes which the m135i comes with such as leather, xenons, M brakes etc and you can see why it's cheap at £30k ish
No it's more clever than that, there is no volume as such,it gets louder in sport mode but still not that loud really, I know you can have it coded to be louder but bmw won't do this themself,
not really to be honest, the Vee is my "ISA" so to speak, I don't plan on selling it but it depends on how circumstances pan out, we've been in this house nearly a year and could do with a new kitchen, work done on the garden etc and the money tied up in the Vee could take care of that nicely...
if there is rain, puddles, damp, precipitation or general moisture in the air then the Vee doesn't even leave the garage...
On a hot dry day, dunno to be honest...The Vee is awesome..but the BMW does most things twice as well lol
That Mercedes really does sound dull as dishwater IMO, mind you..I can't seem to get my BM to sound as loud inside as that one?! It's either some clever microphone trickery or my sound symposer is broken?!!!!!
