How many red flags did the day have?

Are they at a 90° angle to each other? Some are like that just for how it's fitted. So you can use one or the other if space is an issue.

I can't believe people expect testers to pass obvious faults-"Your exhaust is falling off, your brakes don't work and all four tyres are below 1.6 mate, I'll pass it but just get them changed as and when" Why should the tester do it, when the owner couldn't be bothered?

You can buy a proper one for about a tenner from JJC.

I'm guessing the outer part of the centre bore (where that circlip is) isn't 60.1. So it fits on until it reaches the thinner part. My other thought was that you may have left a spigot ring on.
